Hello All, I haven't posted on here in a while. I am 5 weeks post-op today and as of my weigh in this morning, I am 30 pounds down since day of surgery. I am amazed. This journey has been filled with ups and downs (more ups than downs tho). I am happy with things so far. It is a challenge doing everything right, but I will get it in time. Please be encouraged. If things aren't going so great for you or if you are having complications, remember that everything takes time and it will get better.

I was told that after all the steri strips or suture tape falls off then its ok to bathe.

Its truly a process!! Everyday its a battle on what to eat and what not to eat....but we gotta do it...glad you are better!!

Hey Everyone...I made my one week post op vid....Enjoy!!

I stayed 2 nights.....Sleeved 12/20 at 11am, released 12/22 at 3pm...my nut was on vacation so I saw her the week before.

Oh yeah, I came home on a puree diet, which consisted of almost any food pureed to be the consistency of applesauce. YUCK, right? So I basically have been eating oatmeal, broth and cream soups. My soup I made today was so mushy it qualified as pureed, but I think it tasted so good to me because it was home cooked and not out of a can. I will verify this with my surgeon but I believe one week out we can start on soft foods. Every surgeon has his own set of rules, and some ppl prefer staying on liquids instead of purees anyway......Thanks for watching LoserMama and best of luck to you!!!

Hello All, I was sleeved 12/20. Besides the occasional gas bubble, I am doing great. Gonna try not to weigh until my post op visit next Weds. For now I am just sipping and walking and walking and sipping.

I just bought some acid controller from Walgreens. I didnt ask my surgeon or doctor. I have seen enough ppl on here say that they take it after surgery. I am 3 days post op and I needed some relief!!

Hi Honey, I was wondering how you are doing....I used the GNC Wheybolic AMP powder in chocolate. I also do the double protein milk (non-fat dry milk powder and 1% milk). I havent gotten in a 60 grams yet, but I am trying, you keep trying too, the protein is the most important part.
