Hi Everyone. Here is my blog address: www.kellibelliband.blogspot.com
  3. Yes, mine has moved on to my shoulder as well. Yesterday I felt like I was having a heart attack every time I drank something. Today already feels like a better day. I took the dog for a pretty decent walk and I am feeling more like myself. thanks for keeping in touch with me!

  4. But it got get better as the week went on. By day 7 I was done with the gas. Fortunately, I lost 20 pounds before surgery, and about 15 since. I go tomorrow for my first fill. Will keep you posted. Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi, thanks for adding me as a friend. Please forgive me if i don't respond real quick...I am a little slow at getting to my messages. You are 4 weeks exactly behind my surgery. I had my surgery 8/19/2011, and so far, I have done pretty well. day 4 was the turning point for me as far as the gas went too, but that is because it decided to move to my left shoulder.

  6. Good morning. Yes the 4th day was my turning point. I was actually able to get 1 1/2 mile walk in. A slow walk but it sure did help with the gas. I keep the gas x strips with me at all times even now. They are not too bad tasting wither (always a plus).

    65 hours post op

Sounds like you are doing well. We all heal differently and at our own pace. Keep up the good work. I am day 3 post op.
  8. Today was a little rough, I think its because of all the trapped gas. I hear Day 4 is usually the turning point. Yes we are band sistahs now!!

  9. I am so glad to hear your surgery went well. How are you feeling today? My worst day was Friday after the surgery. Now we truly are band sistahs :-)

  10. Oh BTW! I hope all is well and you're feeling good after surgery! Good luck on your journey!

  11. Papapya Enzymes are chewable tables used to help food digest... you can buy them at Walmart (i got mine here) or I'm sure anywhere that sells vitamins... you use them when something is stuck in your stoma... I didn't need them until I had my 2nd fill I believe.... I was eating to fast didn't chew well enough and got stuck...

    Lap Band Surgery Day Stories

Hi there! Well I made it through surgery without any complications so far. We had to be at the Surgery Center by 545am which was kinda a bear but at least I was the first one up for surgery. I was prepped (I can't believe they made me wear a diaper), now I have much more empathy for my patients that have to wear them! They rolled me in to the operating room at 617am and thats pretty much the last I remember of it. By 830am I was awake and had been in recovery for about an hour. My hubby brought me home and I have been resting on and off most of the day. I have managed to get down about 8 oz water sipping slowly and about a 1/4 cup chicken broth. My biggest complaints so far are: my throat is raw and raspy and I have cotton mouth. I couldn't PEE until finally about 230pm which was relief. What happened to the days where they wouldn't let you leave the hospital until you did? Oh well. The pain is mostly in my low back right now and I think it is coming from gas. I have taken my Gas X strips and I think they are helping already. I have taken a few short walks around the house so I think I am doing good. I feel like I need to burp but all that happens is my throat kinda gurgles, is that normal? Anyhoo's, the liquid pain med tastes like Crap but it works so I will endure getting it down. I checked out my Belly and I have only 4 bandages instead of 5 so I don't know about that one. I am going to go lay down some more but will keep in touch as the days go on. Thanks again to all my Blogster friends. I can now officially say I am Banded. If interested I have started a blog http://kellibelliband.blogspot.com Check it out!
  13. Thanks so much! The surgery went well today. I just posted a big paragraph on it on my blogspot, here is the address Kellibelliband.blogspot.com go check it out. Hope all went well with your post-op appt.
