  1. I have only one tattoo on my side which Im planning on adding to very SOON... I love my tattoo because each flower represents a person in my family and the Cantonese is a translation of my name...

Im going to add two more flowers to represent my late Grandpa and my Grandma who is still with me as well as a soaring bird to represent the fact that I am always going to know that my Grandpa will be in the sky flying with me through my journey through my life... ( my grandpa was a pilot)

I LOVE tattoos when they have meaning .. and I will never regret my INK!!

I have thought about doing something Sleeve related but I dont know what i would do

  2. Losing.it.in.2011---> To be quite honestly I have been playing by the rules about 85-90% of the time! ... I eat my Proteins first, then veggies and carbs last.. but LIFE HAPPENS and I have not been crazy eating bad foods but if there is a function I will treat myself... I started out eating about 1/4cup of food at a time but now I think Im up to 2/3 cup of food now.. I always pay attention to my full signals and can truthfully say I have NEVER had nausea post op after eating foods.. and I think its because of that diligence... Also, I try hard to do physical activity to help tighten and shrink problem areas but I would have to say that has been sporadic at best... I really should be more committed to that... But, thats pretty much it... Just live your life and make decisions that will be Healthiest for you... My new philosophy after surgery was if I can only eat small amounts of food then it needed to be healthy food so that my body wasnt deficient in anything.. at least to the best of my ability AND last but not least I really just try to not graze/snack between meals to eliminate unwanted foods in my body

  3. Hello Fellow SLEEVERS!!!

Its been just over 4 months since I had VSG in Mexico! This journey has been very kind to me thus far and I must say that I have made the most amazing decision for myself and Im so glad that I did this!!!!

4 months ago I was 214lbs and losing much of my self esteem as a young woman. Im 22 years old and I really felt ashamed of my appearance. I felt like I was a burden in my relationship with my husband because I was very insecure about myself even though he is one man in my life that I can trust with anything! I was wearing size 16 pants and size XL shirts, some of which were getting pretty tight :( HOWEVER>>>> I had VSG and since then there have been many changes!!!!

TODAY I am 158lbs and wearing a size 8/9 in pants and size S/M in shirts depending on the stores!!! All i want to do is get together with my friends and husband and do things that normal 20 somethings do :D I feel as though Im slowly building up my self esteem and I know that my husband loves that my confidence is also building!!!

I am so grateful that I stumbled upon this procedure and decided on going through with it!! I hope that anybody who is truly thinking of a permanent way to weightloss gives this a consideration... because it has been an amazing tool in helping me!!!

  4. thats really awesome!! It is definitely challenging.. but as the weeks go by you will get better at it :) Im now in week 3 and things are going well.. I love having the challenge that comes from this program!

  5. this is totally my uneducated opinion but my starting weight was 214lbs and in 3 months i have lost 50lbs... so with a slightly higher weight... you are likely able to get there in 2 months but it wont be a cake walk.... Doing any sort of physical activity will definitely help you alot! I wouldnt focus on feeling ovewhelmed with the goal but rather take on the challenge and set a high expectation of yourself... this way you are more likely to hit that goal! All the best to you! and to answer your question, No I do not think your Doc is Crazy LOL! :)

  6. I also went with Dr. Pompa and she was phenomenal! She really cares about her patients and the facility is very clean and comfortable. I never felt uncomfortable with any of her staff members and they all spoke very good english! LIMARP is the name of her surgical facility. Definitely do your research, I was self pay too and I know I would do it all over again :)

  7. I totally understand where you are coming from with trying to not tell anyone about the surgery because originally I wasnt going to tell many people either....

    HOWEVER...

I realized how hard it was going to be to build a lie on top of a lie on top of another lie and so i decided to bite the bullet and admit to myself that i am an adult and I made a decision to do something for myself and if they have something negative to say about it thats their perrogotave. I left it in their hands to deal with and it was a HUGE weight lifted off of my shoulders... AND the most unlikely person who I thought would bash my decision actually became one of my #1 supporters..... I dont know if my little bit of two cents helps you BUT to me it wasnt worth lying and some things in life arent easy but I took ownership of my decision regardless of their opinions

  8. HELLO everyone!!!

I started out my journey on Oct 1, 2010 and to date I have lost 50lbs!!! Its been just over 3 months since surgery and I have never had any complications at all :) I never had any nausea after eating or heart burn! I feel so blessed to have made this decision to get my life back :) Im getting closer and closer to my goal weight that I can taste it HAHAH... I just recently started the P90X workout videos in order to increase my physical fitness as well as tighten all of those loosey goosey areas :D Im so Happy because I am only 22 and by the time i Celebrate my 23rd birthday in June I know I will be at my goal and that makes me so excited! For anyone who is on the fence about doing the surgery... all I can say is Im glad I didnt wait until I was an unhappy obese 45 yr old mother of 3... bringing down my family because of my insecurities!! Now I know that when I do start my family... i will be properly equipped to be a healthy mother and wife

All the best to you ALL!!
