i am doing the liquid diet too... i want my body to be ultra ready!!... the lower amount of complications that there can be due to my actions then i will do it... i just want to get this part on the road so that i can be on the other side and sitting on the losers bench!

Her name is Rachel Marsh.. she came to Canada and went to Brock Uni!... I had some classes with her in our first year ... but she's on my fbook and i saw that she was in a traffic jam because of a cow getting out... and it was funny because i saw ur posts and was like WHOA .. same place... i gotta leave a msg hehe.... I hope that everything goes amazingly for you!!! ... my date is set for the 1st of Oct... so soon we will both be on the losers bench!! yay!

Congrats on making your decision to change your life!!!!! ... when is your date set too? I looked at where you are from and I feel like its such a small world because I am from Canada but I went to University with a girl who also lives in Guernsey!!! good luck with everything~!

Only 24 more days til Im sleeved.... im starting to realize its coming up soon.... i think im going to start pre op on the 11th so it will be almost 3 weeks on the pre op diet... is that too long?

Hey girl... my financing was approved and i set a date and Im just waiting on DrP to give it the go ahead.... so technically the date isnt set in stone but I was told that the 1st would be my date ... im nervous because once i get the 100% go ahead ... i dont know what to do next lol... flights will be from ontario ... ugh.. im feeling how ur feeling when it comes to not knowing where to go from there lol.... but i do know that I am doing this no matter what!!... My husband knows and is 100% behind me... we are using the medicard but the interest rate is high so we are also taking out a line of credit to off set the medicard loan... we have planned it out so that after 2 years it will be paid off... im scared about the financial cost but i know its definitely worth it!

im glad im not the only one that feels like they need to eat eat eat... before surgery!... but its a terrible feeling.. i have made the decision that next monday is when i will start the preop diet.... it will give me two weeks roughly til my surgery on the 1st... ugh.. im sorta dreading it.. but i know when i start that part.. i will be that much closer to the date... Im also keeping this from my family aside from my husband who is 100% behind me so i am getting nervous on how to keep this from them

when r you guys starting your preop diets?... I feel so out of control right now with food... I just eat whatever I crave because I feel like its my last chance.... Oh man I need some advice as to when I should make the switch?

im totally glad im not alone!!!... i definitely dont want to make a stomach puppet out of it lol.. good one DougNichols!!! ... those plush organs are sooooo coool!!... I would love to have them ALL!!.. maybe i will just ask them to take some pictures or something.. i would love to have some connection i guess to the procedure i am undergoing.. i think thats the real motive here -

goodlife!!!.... You are doing amazing! I can't wait to start my process soon!!!.... I was just goingto say that probably when you have a stalemate from losing lbs I bet your still losing inches! So keep that in mind so that you won't get frustrated from what the scale is telling you!!... Congratulations on the new you! :thumbup1: all the best to you!

like i said before, i definitely appreciate you bringing that to my attention and I have no problem with that part.. i guess i was just put off when you said that if i wanted a "real" sleeve this doctor is not the one to go to.. anyway that is neither here nor there because im sure that your intentions were just to be helpful... just a side note.. i have been doing some more looking into that thread that you linked and because of her previous 1980's stapling a doc is unable to cut that scar tissue as it will lead to massive hemorrhaging therefore making it very difficult to create a regular sleeve.. thus the Y shaped sleeve she was given... just some food for thought -

I understand that you are looking at those two stories and assuming that all of her VSG surgeries are the same but if you look at what those two people had in common is that they had already had a stomach stapling which created alot of scar tissue ..... I know personally people who have gone to Dr. Pompa and have indeed a "real" sleeve.... they have had massive weight loss experienced the same side affects of having the sleeve such as only being able to eat extremely small portions and also feeling freed from their previous cravings...If i had a procedure such as my stomach stapled 15-20 years ago I may have to look at the repercussions of going into that region and disturbing the scar tissue that was left there... Now i am not a doctor nor do I know all there is to know about VSG but those are definitely isolated cases in which im sure we can all understand are not the norm for a doctor that has done hundreds of sleeves within the last six years. I thank you for bringing that to my attention however I do not think that it is fair to say that if I want a "real" sleeve like yours i should probably not go to that doctor.. I do not think that that is very appropriate to say based on two isolated cases. -

I am also going with wlf and I am taking a facilitator with me too... I am looking forward to going through all of these stages but I wish I lived closer to sask so that I could meet others that have been sleeved but they r trying to do more online meetings so that's really good... I also got pm'd by goodlife and checked out her link... What are you thinking about that?.. Right now I'm listening to allsides but at the end of the day I know I will be making a god decision to advance my life from here on out!... Oh yah.. I have a date set for oct 1 yay!:confused1: -
