    "The Dreaded Stall" explanation

Thanks for this. I lost my first 30 in the first 3 weeks from surgery and I haven't lost very much since. Although I have been staying pretty positive and not overthinking everything, I am a bit disappointed because I know that I am following my plan very closely and exercising. This post just encourages me to keep doing what I'm doing and things will get better. I really appreciate it.

How much did you lose the first month?

I lost 32lbs the first month.

Roll call all who had surgery JUNE 2015

I was sleeved 6/20 and I have lost a total of 32 pounds so far, 24 since surgery. I have been in a stall for 2 1/2 weeks but I am getting in about 60-65g of Protein per day and about 60 oz of Water so I am going to continue to focus on getting everything in and I'm sure I will move past my stall soon. After reading everyone's progress here it looks like I am on track so I feel much better. I had my 1 month follow up a couple of days ago and my doctors seem pleased with my progress so I'm going to keep moving along.

    June 2015 sleevers

I was sleeved 6/20 and I am down a total of 31 pounds. I have been in a stall for the past 2 weeks. I knew the 3 week stall was coming, although I had hoped it wouldn't last this long. Hopefully I'll be able to kick it soon.

    Shopping!

I also can't wait for that. Right now I am at the stage of realizing that most of my clothes that fit before surgery are too loose and I am now able to fit into some of my old clothes that used to be too tight. I can't wait the first time I can shop in a normal size store.
  7. I am 3 weeks out and I have lost 22 since surgery and 30 since I started the pre-op diet. Currently in a stall but that was expected so no worries

    Stalled at two weeks out..

I am 3 weeks post op and have not lost a single pound over the last few days but I'm not worried. I was prepared for the 3 week stall so I am just sticking to the plan and enjoying the changes that I am noticing in my body. We will both move past this stage and continue losing. Stay positive and follow ur plan and you will do great!

    Sleeping

I pretty much slept on my side for the most part and didn't have any issues with it. Within 5 days I was sleeping in my stomach with a pillow without any pain.

    NSV!

I am currently 2 1/2 weeks out and I went back to work after a week with no problem. As long as you take it easy you should be fine. I have noticed a lot of my clothes fitting loosely the last few days and it is exciting to see this change happen.

Dairy sensitivity and protein shakes :(

Let me know how switching goes! I might need to switch from coconut to almond or rice dream, even if just for a different taste lol It doesn't seem to have made much of a difference for me unfortunately. I am still getting very nauseous when I drink my protein shakes, although protein in other forms don't effect me negatively at all. I am going to try switching up my Protein drinks and I hope that makes a difference since it seems as if the milk wasn't the issue. How about you? Have you had any luck getting in more protein?

Dairy sensitivity and protein shakes :(

I have been having a similar problem. I was sleeved on 6/20 and I have been pretty good about getting my Protein in. I have been drinking dairy milk mixed with my Protein Powder since Friday and everything was ok until Sunday. The last couple of days I have been nauseated when I drink my protein shakes. I wasn't sure if it was the protein or the milk so now I am going to switch out the milk for almond milk and see if that helps.

One week post-op HOW ARE WE DOING?

I was sleeved on the 20th and I am feeling great as well. After day 2 I was doing great and not having any pain. I had a little gas but it wasn't terrible. I have been getting in about 65g of protein and the same in ounces of liquid. I am just focusing on getting everything in.
  15. You will feel so much better in a few days. I am a week out and I am feeling great. As the weeks go by I know that things will get better and better. Stay positive and push through. You'll do great!

    June Sleevers!

I just had my 1 week follow up today and I am feeling pretty good. No pain and just a little gas. My incisions look great and I am down 7 pounds since surgery. I am back at work and I am excited to get to the gym, but my doctor is making me wait until I am 1 month out.

    July sleevers?

I've got 2 weeks of pre-OP liquid diet...really dreading this...my diet begins on July 3rd. For me the pre-op diet was the worst but the diet got better after surgery. Push thru and you will be on the other side in no time!

    On my way

Hey everyone, I'm at the airport waiting to board my flight to TJ. I'll get there today and then surgery tomorrow. I'm a little nervous but mostly excited to start my new journey. Wish me luck!

    Unexpected sneezing

After surgery my seasonal allergies went crazy (they were fine before) and I went on a sneezing tangent. They gave me some kind of allergy medicine thru my iv but it didn't work so they let me take my Claritin. I have been fine since then, but boy did that hurt!

    On my way

No I didn't vomit at all, although I was nauseated off and on for about 24 hours after surgery. The nausea medicine helped so it wasn't too bad. Now that I am a few days out I feel pretty good. I still have a little gas but it isn't bad or very uncomfortable. I was able to go shopping yesterday without any pain so I am moving aground just fine. I haven't felt any hunger although I feel as if I can eat (or drink since I am still on liquids) a bit more today. My incisions look great and I will be flying back home tomorrow. Overall the entire experience has been better than I thought it would be. Good luck to everyone who is getting sleeved soon, or has recently bee not lee ended!

    On my way

Hey everyone. I had surgery on Saturday and everything went well. I feel much better now although I'm still dealing with a little gas, but nothing walking won't help. For those of you who are getting sleeved soon, good luck! Everything will go great.
