  1. Hello, I was just sleeved on Monday 9/26 and everything went very well. I was up and walking around within hours post-op. I was discharged on Tuesday 9/27 and ever since I have been having extreme shoulder pain. Of all things!! LOL! I know it is more than likely from the gas that is used during surgery but I wanted to see if anyone else experienced anything similar and if so what is the solution? I've tried walking, been walking ALOT!! I was thinking about trying Gas X strips...anyone know if that might work??? Thanks in advance for your input!!
  2. Hey!! Just checkin in on you!! Is your incision still bothering you??

Yay for September Sleevers!!! Thank you for responding and giving me the adivse. The Gas X strips definately did not work for me either. I guess all of the walking and time finally worked it out. I hope you are doing well!! Are you on soft/mushy phase???

Thank you so much for your input. I wish I had read these posts earlier, that trick probably would have worked. I'm new so I didnt realize that people had responded to my post.

    Shoulder pain after surgery

Thanks for the heads up on the thread for September sleevers, I will look into that. Im very new to all of this so I didnt realize that people had responded to my post from September..LOL! I'm glad you are off the mushies!! I'm really struggling with eating slow and taking small bites and breaks between bites. Sometimes, I wonder if I even had surgery. Other than a slight choking feeling or a stuck in my throat feeling sometimes I have not felt the sensation of being "full" yet. I am never hungry and have to force myself to remember to eat.. I guess I need to start timing myself while eating. I've been trying to get most of my Protein from food sources instead of Protein shakes. I will add unflavored Protein powder to some things that have less protein and that helps. I have trouble getting in 64oz of Fluid too. I'm sorry about your pain. I hope it either goes away or they can pinpoint what the pain is.

Thank you so much!! While the pain subsided it was still encouraging to hear that 8 months out and you feel great!! I feel good too, but still question everything I do or eat. I guess that is normal ,

Yes, I am feeling much better now!!! Thanks for your input. It was probably a combination of things looking back now. The beds are definately NOT comfortable so that may have contributed.

While I was fully expecting to see a pain pump after waking up, I did not have one. Just left the hospital with plenty of meds which included pain meds. I'm glad that removing the pump did the trick for your pain. Thanks for the input and good luck to you as well!!
