  1. I am about 3 weeks post surgery with no fills. I am confused because I thought after the band, my body would reject most foods. Finding if I chew, I can eat just about anything. Havent felt the full feeling from the band yet. Is it a bad to eat small amounts of food now (popcorn for example). I can eat carbs and have zero reaction. Is this normal.
  2. I had my first fill the first week of August. The first week was rough. Felt very sick and had a hard time eating/drinking. Lost 8 lbs the first week, no surprise as I was so sick. Now I am waiting for my first fill scheduled the first week of September. I followed the liquid diet for the first two weeks. Now I find I can eat just about anything. I thought the band would restrict me from eating regular foods. Do I have to wait for my first fill before I get the true benefits from the lapband surgery?

  4. I am scheduled to have lapband in 2 days and feeling completely paniced. I have been on every diet under the sun, from phen/phen to HGC. All with the same results, I lost weight then gained back the weight and then some. Lately I have been feeling so tired, defeated and helpless. Rather than giving up I decided to look into lapband, Now just a few days away I am feeling a little selfish, guilty and worried about something going wrong during the surgery. The selfish part has a lot to do wit the expense, as I am paying for it in full (insurance wont pay) and I am worried about what I might be putting my family through. I am also worried about complications during the surgery. Any words of wisdom out there?
