  1. He is acutally from the hospital where i was going to originally have my surgery "columbia presbyterian" in NYC and that is one of the top hospitals in NYC. That's where Bill Clinton and many other public figures go. Hillary was there during her situation a few months ago. I think Dr. Oz is pretty cool but i also feel that all doctors contradict themselves so its a matter of who you trust and what you believe.

  2. He's being so negative. He probably has low self esteem. Now that you feel and look good he should be saying things like "dam you look HOTT' or "come here and so i can screw you with that on" lol sorry TMI... i know it sucks cuz its been 2 years but it is not worth it honey. He will bring you down and you are in a roll. You don't need him making you feel bad causing you to probably go grab a burger or maybe he encourages you to eat the wrong things. GIRL LOOK HOW CUTE YOU ARE. Kick him to the curb because there are much more guys waiting for you to come walkign by with your new bathing suit. Good Luck hun and hang in there!!!

  3. Hi Everyone!!!

I had surgery on the 19th. I was feeling bad the first couple of days and kinda regretting the surgery (in my head didnt really tell anyone) but my mom too me out shopping yesterday and made me walk almost the whole day. I no longer have gas pains. I feel so much better. I am down 18lbs.

Does anyone feel like this? I'm still in denial that i've been sleeved and that I've lost 18lbs. It hasn't hot me yet.

I am just concerned that i am not taking in enough Protein. What is everyone else on? I am glad you guys are doing well. Please for Gas pains go to a mall and walk for about 2-3 hours window shopping. I woke up feeling so good things morning plus i slept so well.

    Good Luck Everyone!!! :-)

  4. The little bit that you threw up was the nagging piece that was making you sick. Everything else most likely went through without any issues. You should still call the doc and tell them what happened this way they can run some tests. A lot of people throw up many times before learning what makes them feel better so i doubt with one puke that anything happen. So just KEEP CALM... and maybe try some liquids for now. until you speak to your doc...there should be someone on call at your doctors phone number so you should call just in case. Good Luck!

  5. I have said in many posts that I expected this surgery to be a breeze, especially where pain was concerned. I have never taken pain meds before, and I did need to with this surgery. I instantly regretted my decision when I woke in a fog in the recovery room. I probably wasn't happy about my decision for a few weeks. I struggled to get my Protein and Water in. Struggled with trying to plan my meal schedule. But it got easier, I'm down 52 lbs and feel much better.

I started kind of regretting it as well. But i guess its part of the process of healing. I'm glad your better and congrats on the weight loss!

  6. I had surgery on Tuesday. OMGOSH i was so darn nervous...

I'll explain as much in details as i can. When i was in bed waiting to be taken into surgery, i was greeted by different people from the surgical team.

The anesthesioligist (however you spell that) told me i would two tubes down my throat, one was an upper endcopopy and the other has something to do the the anesthesia. i went into surgery woke up had a little pain but not too much. Was told i will be give me enough pain meds to control my pain. It was hard to take deep breaths. All i wanted to do was sleep. I had something strapped to my calves that massaged me which later i found out was to help circulate the blood in my legs.

I also realized i had a catheter down there.

The most advice i can give you is to take any pain meds you can. I was attached to a machine that with a press of a button i would get a dose of morphine every 8 minutes.

Also as soon as they tell you you can walk. WALK... WALK like there is no tomorrow. That will help release the gas pains. Walk around the hospital hall for about 10-15 minutes every hour while your awake.

Hospitals are annoying because when your trying to sleep a different staff member will come to see you etc. whether to check your vital signs or to see your incisions.

They will probably have you do breathing exercise with a breathing tool. Use that every time there is a commercial on tv while your in bed. it helps you breath better and it also helps to prevent you from getting pneumonia.

My greatest frustrations were the gas pains. Yesterday mom took me a store and i walked for about 2 hours straight and i am so grateful cuz i feel so much better today. Please walk as much as you can. I helps for a speedy recovery. I thought it was bull when the nurse told me because i walked a lot when i was in the hospital and i still had gas pains. (i felt it in my chest and made it hard to swallow).

Walk walk walk. and good luck! Everything will go great!!!

  7. My doctor wanted me to get on Birth control preferably the IUD. He basically told me the hormones will drive me off the roof! lol

It can also be in the head. hormones, you look good and mentally/physically he wont be there to satisfy that touch. You;ll be fine. My friends sends her hubby naughty pics and i think they skype sex alot too lol. it's all in the imagination. Good Luck!

  8. I was told my my pervious clinic to stop birth control a month or 2 before. My current surgeon actually just recommended the IUD to be put it to avoid pregnancy after surgery. I just had surgery on Tuesday.. Yaa!! Just call your doc and let him know
