  1. I'm so sorry your going through this. The site can make everything seem like rainbows and butterflies at times. I am 2 weeks post today and already been stalled for more than a week. I am a little sad and trying not to be discouraged. My moms friend was in a stall similar to yours. She gave up on being anal about everything and just went about her life and a month later she had a nsv when she went to buy an outfit for some event. Turns out she was losing it all in inches during that time. She was scared to weigh herself but a week later when she got in the scale she was 8lbs down. Her stall was like 6 weeks after surgery.

I guess it happened when she stopped stressing it. Take down your measurements and am so sure your going through the same thing. and 42lbs is great CONGRATS. During that time she was only down 22lbs down. I hope it gets better. Your doc might have some good tips for you. Good Luck and please don't avoid us! This is why we are all here for the good, the bad, answers, questions, concerns, etc. GOOD LUCK AGAIN please keep me posted.

  2. I am 2 weeks post and that is exactly how i felt from the moment i woke up from surgery up to a few days ago. I made so much research and many posts on the forum make it seem like the surgery is a walk in the park and it is actually harder than I thought. I am feeling MUCH better than last week when i used to tell myself WTF did i just get myself into.

Give it another week. Everyday is a working progress. I work two jobs and i am not used to being home. It is difficult because i'm going to sleep late, watching crappy TV and i start thinking too much. I stopped the pain meds because they make me feel like crap. Its difficult to find good food to puree and i can not stand Protein shakes, my chewable Vitamins are disgusting and so is my liquid Calcium.

Not to mention i got over emotional last weekend over absolutely nothing.

    HOWEVER

I'm down almost 20lbs... (haven't checked since last week), i have to wear belts with my pants and someone noticed my weight loss which seriously caught me off guard.

It doesn't matter what method you use to lose weight it will always be a challenge. As someone who was in your shoes a few days ago i can tell you to hang in there that it is slowly getting better. Good Luck!!!

  3. Hi again! I have some wisdom to impart with you that will help you with your dilemma. I stopped the Protein shakes in my 3rd week because it smelled so discusting. Weeks later I knew I had to go back on them so I experimented and found a new way of drinking them that tastes delicious. I have chocolate powder, but this will work for vanilla and strawberry too I imagine. I put 1 scoop of powder, 8 oz. Water 2 big strawberries, my probiotic, and 1 tea. of organic cocoa and blend that up. You get your Protein, your fruit, and cocoa staves off hunger for sugar, You can even throw in other stuff you can't stand taking, like Vitamins, for it will hide the flavor and help the gag reflexes. I take it every morning and no gagging, it's really good. You can get your doctor to right a perscription for Calcium, or buy them yourself. I take them every 3-4 days. You don't need to take them everyday. Hope you find this useful.

What brands do you use for everything?

  4. My sister told me she was on her way to her bf's house last night and i burst out crying like if she had just given me terrible news. I felt so guilty cuz she stayed. I even sent my bf a nasty text. I guess i'm just looking for a little attn maybe?

I cried the morning of my surgery when 2 co-workers called to say a quick prayer. Then i started tearing when a nurse came in to get my vital signs and then started secretly crying when i was walking away from my family.

This is an emotional battle for everyone and i feel like it is normal. Our body is going through a major change.

Don't worry it happens to the best of us!!!

  5. I know it sounds stupid. I am 12 days out and i was exhausted the first few days all i wanted to do is sleep, but i went out and walked walked walked. It helped me feel less tired and i was able to come home and sleep without any issues. If you can get out and walk for at least 30 - 45 minutes per day you should it will help.

Get as much rest as you can throughout the day.

I still feel tired but the walking helped a lot. I am still waiting for that BURST of energy everyone talks about after surgery lol. Good Luck!

  6. Walk walk walk walk walk. Tomorrow. Wake up. Go to the mall or any place where you can window shop. AND WALK. I felt the same way your feeling and i walked around Walmart for like 1 hour and then bj's for another hour and the next day i felt so good. And as time went on i kept walking a little here and there.

I kinda also had the same issue that every time i tried to eat i wanted to burp and i would try to force it but nothing happened. Its like acid reflux so get chewable tablets like prilosec.

  7. Your tummy is still numb from everything. It will take a few weeks before it heals completely. Give it time to heal. I rather be happy, healthy and skinny versus feeling my belly button. I opened this thinking i was gonna read about a 3rd nipple popping out of somewhere lmfao.

Embrace the good changes and stop looking for the bad. Just like @NancyDec20... Look for non scale victories. Like jeans you couldn't get into 2 weeks ago. I'm almost 2 weeks out and i got my hair done today took a pic with the bf and compared it to one i took 2 weeks before Surgery. Things like this will give you motivation but if you stay at home wondering why your belly button is so deep and start looking for other defects you'll just bring yourself down and won't be able to focus on the original reason why you got sleeved. Good Luck and keep your head up!!! Forget about your belly button for now and embrace the new you!!!!

  8. I could have posted this, lol minus am still on liquid until Monday I was sleeved 3/18.. Dying of boredom and restlessness and not sleeping well.. I go to dr on Tuesday hopefully he will give me ok for swimming that will help in tone, bored, and sleep.

Oh yes. Swimming is # 1 on my list of exercises along with zumba, tredmill, dance classes and the my nintendo wii.

I am actually on puree but find it difficult to blend certain foods. I get disgusted and go straight for the Gatorade G2 lol
