    Any March Sleevers?

03.19.2013. Approved in less than 2 hours. Its been a long journey. I was approved at another hospital in Dec. And was supposed to meet the surgeon on Jan 30 to schedule surgery date and in Jan 17th I got a call saying they will no longer take my insurance. (After a year and 2 months with this process) Thank God I had seen my current surgeon as a back up. This is so surreal. Yaaa! Too many feelings: anxious scared happy etc etc
  15. People i work closely with are starting to ask questions and My boss is going to start questioning all my appointments. I want to tell them but when I finally get my surgery date I will tell them. Any advice?
  16. Did anyone see the nutritionist? How long and what happened with these visits? After i had everything done all of a sudden i'm missing this.
  17. I had to see my PCP for 6 months. I was approved for surgery but the hospital i was approved at called me to tell me that they were no longer taking my insurance. They called me 5 days before my visit with my surgeon to schedule my surgery. I went to another office who helped me faster because of what happened and they asked for the nutritionist letter. I did see the dietitian and nurse practitioner who told me about what and how to eat after surgery. Etc. Maybe that's what they need?
  18. I'm currently awaiting to meet my surgeon to schedule my surgery. I've been taking b12 and b6 because its low. Every Doctor is different so i was wondering what kind of Vitamins are you guys taking? I want to start taking them because i don't want my Vitamin intake to be low when its time for surgery. Thanks guys!

    Military/Reserves after surgery?

It was a thought for me at one point. to Join the marines. But just so i can get my loans paid off. I'm not really crazy about the military.
  22. lol... @ no sh*t sherlock.. like we did not know this already... What they should be doing is thinking of better birth control for post op patients.
  23. CALM DOWN!!! I"m here to make you guys feel better. First, ur exactly one month out and 49lbs down... a friend of min got the surgery and lost 15lbs pre-op and a month later was only down 10lbs so woo hoo for you to lose so much in just one month. 2nd, throw the scale away.... YOUR LOSING INCHES.. measure your body... or get one of those machines that measure ur body when you hold it tight and realize that ur not dropping lbs because ur dropping inches... If u lose lbs and no inche you'd look like a square after losing al the weight. 3rd, can u still walk? Go window shopping. buy one of those trackers that tracks ur steps.. 4th, GET OUT... if you stay at home ur gonna keep feeling sorry and upset and thinking about ur weight. 5th, EVERYONE GOES THROUGH THIS... my friend who i mentioned earlier is at a stand still. Do you think she's about to lose it? NO. Its normal. Dont get discouraged because if your an emotional eater you will regret it! Know that everyone in this site.... we are all here for each other. Focus on the positive... i'm waiting on my surgery date and I'd give anything to be down at least 20lbs right now, but i'm not discouraged. Think happy thoughts! Good Luck... and do victory things... 2lbs down... u do something you like another 10 lbs u get a massage 15lbs down buy yourself something expensive.... 30lbs down join a social site!!!!! AGAIN!!! IT happens... good luck!!! I'm sure you look great.. plz dont give up. we are all in this together.

    stretch marks & incision scars

Cocoa butter works, Mederma, are good for stretchmarks. ambi is good for scars. And garnier fructise just came out with a new product. Proactive has a cream called dark spot corrector and clinique has products for it as well but they are TOO expensive and the bottle is too small lol All these products work. All you need is time, patience, and money. My sister had this ugly scar on her leg and she put ambi for like 3 months. She went through 3 bottles and the scar faded. You can also go to a dermatologist. They will prescribe you creams depending on the severity of the marks. You can also go to a plastic surgeon or medical spa who can do laser or other procedures to remove the marks. Good Luck! Good Luck!!!!
  25. Congrats!!! Dean, how do you feel?
