  1. Floridays, I'm with you. I am 5'5" and my dr wants me at 150, which is on the high level of the normal BMI for my height. I would like to be 135. But, I am 62 and don't want to look even older and drawn, so will have to see. It's hard for me to see how I really look. People will say not to lose any more, but I'm still 15 lbs from 150. Guess, to them, I look different and like I've lost a lot. So far, right at 50 lost, but not at normal BMI.

  2. I paid right at 10,000. (A bit less) for total surgery, which included 1 year aftercare (fills) and I didn't have to have any pre-testing and he put me on 2 wk South Beach diet prior to surgery. I didn't have to do psych or anything but visit with dietician. He repaired a hernia, which my insurance paid that part and he accepted it. Dr. Fox did mine. I like him very much. I thought you had already made your decision. I first visited another doctor that pushed me toward sleeve. I signed up, but chickened out. Am happy with my decision. Started at 213. Surgery 8/31. Current weight 166. Goal 150 for Dr. 135 for me. Best of luck.

  3. Donna, I have the same questions. I go in tomorrow to see aftercare and hoping for .5 cc. My worst hunger time is about 6:00 pm at night. We eat late, which I don't like, but that's the way it is. We usually have lunch around 2:00. We eat out almost every night, which makes measuring difficult. I've started asking for a bread and butter plate and move my portions from the large plate to the bread and butter plate so I can really see what I'm eating. I wish there was a mini scale you could take with you that wasn't so conspicuous.
