    Compression Garments

Hey guys, I actually found some cheaper options at Wal-Mart. I found some Starter brand compression shirts in the men's department for working out in both long and short sleeves for only $10 ea. I also ordered the high-waisted leggings, the arm shrug, and 3/4 length toning top from Maidenform that I thought were very decently priced (way less than the labeled post-op garments). Hope this helps!

    5 days out...hard to drink!

I am having a very similar situation to you, princess. I was sleeved on 02/24 and am also having a hard time with getting all of the fluids in. I have also lost 20lbs in a week. I can tell I am already having restriction because I just can't get in more than 4 oz of liquid at a time (and it does take at least 20 minutes to get that down), but I'm constantly trying anything, whether it be a popsicle, a few bites of jello, broth, etc. I bought these little 4oz rubbermaid containers at Target that I use for everything, so I make up little "protein shots" that seem to give me the most boost to make it through. I definitely know I'm not getting enough H20 though. Hang in there! We'll soon me skinny minnies!
  5. Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to the boards but have been snooping around for a while. I'm getting sleeved on Feb 24th and am uber excited about it =) Anyway, my boss (who is actually very supportive of what I'm doing) is a physical therapist who specializes in lymphedema treatments. She told me to wear compression garments head-to-toe at all times as quickly as I can post-op to prevent the saggy skin syndrome. She said her sister had bypass and lost close to 300 lbs and because of wearing the garments, only had about an inch of pinchable skin at her belly after all was said and done. I thought that was quite amazing. Has anyone had experience with this? Because of how fast our bodies change, I was trying to find cheaper alternatives than the actual post-op compression suits that cost $100 plus. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
