  1. Sounds great, good work :) II have my first post-surgery appt with the doc tomorrow, like to know when I can get back in the gym and start burning some cals off instead of just not eating cals. I've never been much of a wine drinker, but I may have to start that, though I still hope I can sip some bourbon on occasion :) Continued well wishes :)

  2. Congrats on your surgery :) Mine was 7/28. 7/29 wasn't so bad, I definitely started eating jello, Muscle Milk Light, drinking Propel and Crystal Light. Having tried the sugar free popsicles yet, will have to give that a shot. I'm still taking painkillers, I'm more sore around my incisions today, but I think that's normal. Walking, I've done alot of that, walking up and down the street 2 or 3 times a day, trying to avoid the heat in the middle of the day is the challenge. I'm having more nausea this morning (7/30). I've been taking the Gas-X strips, and gas is not as much of a problem, not feeling bloated. I haven't had the pain the shoulders and neck that others talk about. Also consuming broth, it helps.

    Continued well wishes :)

  3. Not sure about the wine, that may be an option, have to research that. Thanks for the info on tonic being carbonated, looks like those will be no good also. God, it sounds awful, but I'm wondering, if I left say Coke Zero opened in the frig, so it would lose its carbonation, then mixed it with bourbon, wonder what it would taste like? Not saying I would necessarily do this, just curious.

  4. great blog, mass me a little scared of what it to come, but I know it the long run it will be worth it

I'll tell you what, dude to dude, don't be scared. Stare it down, believe in yourself, know that you can do it. You'll be much happier afterwards, and the little pain issues, you'll deal with them and be better for it. I'm thinking of getting some tats eventually to disguise whatever scarring there is, no biggie. Best of luck to you, keep us updated :)

  5. Hello, sorry to say, I do not think Gas-X will help you. That is for intestinal gas; unfortunately, you don't have that type of gas. Besides, how are you swallowing it? Hope it isn't solid, you should be crushing it or drinking it if anything. The best thing I think that will help you is walk, walk, walk, and make sure you are taking little sips, not gulping when you drink something. Hope that helps :) Alan

NOTE: I'm not going to change my original post, but I will say that I have been taking Gas-X strips, and they DO work for me. I'm not sure why, maybe its mental, but I do not have the bloated feeling I had yesterday. I do feel more nausea this morning, but I took my nausea med and I feel better since I had some Muscle Milk Light.
