Day 12. Am I thin yet?
Wow, that is so true. I have never lost 100 lbs, but I was close! And just to think how much the body likes to regulate itself.... it seems nearly impossible to lose what we need to without help. I think I really need to read something like this today.

Goodbye!
Exactly what they said, if I use my phone or google chrome, I barely even see the ads and I have no problems with speed.

Do NOT do what I did today!
Great tips! I am trying to break myself of this habit right now, and it is just so hard.

Food, family and funerals
Sounds like any time my family meets up. Period. It is comforting, but at the same time sooooo filling wannabe waist expanding. Even being a pescetarian, I can put down those macaroni and cheese, green been casserole, and fried fish dishes like no other. Go you for staying strong during such a traumatic time. You give me hope someday soon I might be able to get through family gatherings too.

List of WLS VSG Guides
Here is a list of guides for guidelines on food and vitamins after VSG surgery. I take no credit for these, and they are just for my own information and for me to keep up with as I travel on my VSG journey. http://www.sleeveguide.com/uploads/1/7/9/4/1794785/dietguidevged42006feb.pdf http://www.northwestobesitysurgery.com/pdf/sleeve-gastrectomy-diet.pdf http://www.cornellweightlosssurgery.org/pdf/dietary_guidelines_sleeve_gastrectomy.pdf

Congrats on the great weight loss!

Excited - but still have 5 months to wait :(
You and I are on the same boat. I just started month two of my 6MSD. I am impatient, but at the same time the odds are good my insurance will pay. I hope we both have great news to look forward to in September.

Questions for the surgeon?
If you check Tiffykins blog, she has a list of AWESOME questions.

I left my stomach in Mexicali
I literally LOLed. I loved it. I am glad your experience went well. Congrats on your sleeve.

acrylic nails?
My surgeon is the same way, but I am hoping they do not feel the same way about toe nail polish. My feet look horrible without something...

WTF do I wear to this wedding?!
Congrats! I am so glad you found something.

Undergrad reunion coming up...
I agree with Tiffykins. I would not take this lying down if you see him again. Especially, if you are still this angry. I hate prejudice with a firey passion, and even if that did not change his mind about him opening up his mouth before he says something so insulting, I would feel better.

What do think my chances are
I did the same thing. The office I worked with was actually very kind and totally understood. I hope you have the same experience!

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!!
Yay! Congratulations! I can't even imagine how excited you are. That is just awesome.

WTF do I wear to this wedding?!
Dillards, Torrid... Oh, if you have bridal shops in your city like David's Bridal check the clearance racks. They have plus size wear for a great discount that look really nice. I found a beautiful red dress for a formal New Year's Eve party there.

Having a few bad days...
Oh, wow, I am so sorry. I know everything will get better, just try to get through it. You can do this!

Submitted to Insurance!!!
Wow, congrats! Good luck waiting for the approval. I cannot wait to be where you are now.

No pre-op diet ?????
Just like the previous response said, preop and postop diets vary widely. I would definitely follow your particular surgeons advise. Good luck with the surgery!

How the HELL do you know what size you are?
Haha, that is fabulous! Congratulations on the weight loss. If all else fails, pull out the measuring tape.

sleeve-not what I expected
This is a really good thread to read. I feel like I have learned a lot. There are so many great people on this forum willing to help. I am definitely less worried about eventually being sleeved. (I am a real worrier)
