Anyone heard of Implanon?
I read up on Implanon before I made my decision for Mirena. Both have the hormones, so that is not a biggie. But I don't plan on having children for the next ten years and I don't want three more scars on my arm for BC. Definitely, read up on both! Wishes Edit: I don't currently have children.

You ladies make me worry. I am not very gifted to begin with (the quintessential pear shape), but I am sure it will be worth it.

Atkins shakes are as good if not better than Optifast
I love the Atkins shakes, personally. Except that Dark chocolate one... It is kind of grainy. I picked up like 20 packages last week because Publix had them buy one get one free for 4.99. It was a great deal. The only thing I want to do is compare Atkins with Premier Shakes since they have 30 grams of Protein, but I have been hearing some wonky things about their flavor now. Wishes

Piercings?
Good post, I lost my nipple piercings to my Upper GI last week. I didn't think I would be waiting two hours for a pregnancy test. ;_; I guess for surgery I will be set.

Anyone using Mirena IUD?
I am getting Mirena on Thursday. I am glad I was able to read this post, and the effects I might experience after surgery. Have any of you ladies heard if the Mirena is still effective after surgery with all the estrogen pumping through your body? Does it still prevent pregnancy? Or will that take a while to stabilize?
