  1. I WILL TRY THAT!

I stalled for 6 weeks (only 4 weeks post-op)! The few things I did to break my stall was.

    1. I started reading my food labels to avoid sugar and carbs. This helped the most

    2. I used I trick from a past diet and did a "Steak Day". Consist of drinking only tea, Water or coffee (as much as you like) throughout the day and then having the largest steak I could consume for dinner (about 7 ounces). This broke my stall immediately!!! What a relief.

    3. It also helped me to understand that stomach acid was causing false hunger symptoms. A prescription from my PA and I was good to go.

    4. I increased my food consumption to about 1100 calories per day. Mostly in the Protein area, but I slip in some veggies and blue berries to boot.

  2. I was sleeved June 27, 2011, I have lost 20lbs, but have went from a sixe 2x in tops to a large. It is crazy. I also had a black surgeon in Dallas. I have seen people with the lap band and it does not seem to work well. My hair is natural, so ihave not had any Hair loss as of yet. So I am doing pretty well. I went through a depression on July 4th and didn't come out the house(haha) I was thinking about all the bar b que I was missing, but i was on liquids then. So things are better now. I am at that 3 week stall, but hopefully things will pick up. My bllod pressure has been normal and i am getting weaned off of insulin. Only 77lbs to go!

  3. That is a good reminder, it is hot in Texas. i will get one today.

Ok....so this is something small.... I am in my 2 week liquid diet with my surgery coming up on 7-13-11. My BF brought home a mini snow cone machine today from wally world ($20) with some sugar free snow cone syrup! This has been one of the best days of this pre op diet...lol. It's the small things I guess :)

  4. I am 7 days post op. I am trying to switch to full liquids with clear. I can't tolerate clear Water I have to add crystal light. I have found that I can tolerate dryers fruit bars popsicles no sugar added.. I am trying to be careful. I have started on boost drinks but it takes me a whole day to drink 8oz. I dont know how these people are eating meat after the first week and everything. I am taking things slow and I do try something new everyday..happy sipping.
