HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY DAUGHTER????
Ok so I think I'm on the right track. I'm making sure to keep healthy snacks on hand. I'm stressing that this is not about being thin/skinny but ALL about being healthy. I will not mention my weight loss numbers in front of her anymore. And as soon as I get more energy I we can go out and walk, hike, etc. The only thing that is not in my control is how others compliment me and go on about my weight loss, but I will try and change the subject instead of talking about it with them. Thanks again sleeve family for your help

So Tired!!
Everyone is different . I too wish I were like some of these sleevers who say they were out shopping once out from surgery, but not the case woith me at all. I'm 9 weeks out and struggle with energy. I know once I can get that blasted protein in daily I will get better, but I don't stress myself out about it, otherwise its depressing. I know I will get there eventually .

Any Fast Eaters?
I am a fast eater ...not a good thing with the sleeve. I've slowed down big time since my surgery, but I really need to slow it down some more, otherwise I get a stomach pain which forces me to stop eating all together. When I do take my time and eat slow I'm fine. It's just something I've to work on .

HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY DAUGHTER????
You guys are correct. My 18 year old son is 5'11 and 140 lbs. what happened there??? He got my hubby's genes. Darn those fat genes lol. Now I just need to get some energy to get moving with her. OK so that this doesn't happen in the future, I have another question for you...since this sleeve thing is such a HUGE event in my life right now, how do I not let it affect my baby? Should I not talk about it in front of her (almost impossible, but I will do it)? Not tell her when I lose? Not show her excitment about the weight loss? Any suggestions?

HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY DAUGHTER????
Ok so after I wrote my post, I had a talk with my baby girl and come to find out that she was feeling really bad about my weight loss (ouch)...but I reassured her that I love her and that I only want the best for her, and that I'm her biggest fan and supporter, and that there is NO WAY there is any type of competition going on here WHAT SO EVER!!! I have also shared with her in the past that I really want her and I to do more activities together (walking, hiking, etc.) , the problem right now is ME. I'M SO TIRED/WEAK!!!!!! But eventually we will get out there . Thanks so much for the feedback y'all you rock!

OMG . . . surgery tomorrow! Moved up!! Yikes!!
Yeah, that was a huge problem for me too. I couldn't drink initially without pain . Come to think of it, today is actually the first day where I think I've drank the most ever since surgery, and I'm 9 weeks out tomorrow. Everyone is different though. Some people never get gas, go figure lol.

HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY DAUGHTER????
This is very difficult for me ... I'm so HAPPY with my sleeve. I am basically the same size as my daughter now. She is 5'7 and about 178 lbs. She is even starting to use my clothes, and I'm using some of her things. The problem is I think she is starting to feel SUPER bad that I am basically getting ready to pass her weight up. I LOVE MY BABY TO DEATH AND DO NOT WANT HER TO FEEL BAD, AND THAT KILLS ME ...I feel that her being overweight is MY FAULT, and that HURTS! She recently said mom you took the "easy" way out, and I know she didn't mean it at all, She just feels bad. Are any of you going through this? And how do you handle it???? PLEASE HELP!

OMG . . . surgery tomorrow! Moved up!! Yikes!!
OMGOSH Girlie! Congrats on your surgery ...you sound pretty good. I couldn't even think about posting 2 days out. I didn't have any throwing up, but the gas was TERRIBLE and of course I didn't want to drink anything. I started to feel "normal" again on day 14. Then had some downs again after that, then at week 6 (when I could eat anything) felt "normal" again. So did Dr. Zane say why you were throwing up so much??? Hope you're feeling better soon...hugs!

Not wanting to eat
I totally agree with Oregondaisy. It's so easy for me not to get fluids in since I have to wait 30 minutes to drink after eating.
