    Snack Ideas

I do well with the chopped prunes and most nuts I have to chew very well and only a few at a time. It was really a trial and error process, I can't eat walnuts right now but cashews and almonds go down well. If you have trouble with nuts my trainer recommended sunbutter. I haven't tried it yet but it's supposed to have less fat than peanut butter.

    Snack Ideas

I like to keep small baggies of 1/2 serving of insalted mixed nuts and 1 full serving of Sunsweet Plum Amazins on my person at all times. I can't usually finish the whole thing but def does the trick for me when a snack is necessary.

    3 Months Banded-new To Forum

Yes, I've heard alot of good things about the fitbit and it is the lowest costing device I've seen. I wanted something that would let me track all pertinent info in one place. I dont always have time to log meals so i just put in the estimated calories for my day and it will show my calorie defecit based on my activity for the day. It also monitors how well you sleep and how many steps you've taken. I like to see the hourly breakdown so I know when I lose valuable time doing something not so active. I also like to see that I'm burning calories like crazy when I'm working out, it makes me feel good . The armband is a little annoying at first and I had to order a Lg cuz it came with a sm but now I don't even notice it.
  6. Hello all!! First of all, congratulations to everyone here for all successes large and small. Second if you have joined and are still deciding if this surgery is right for you, then you are in the right place. Just reading through these forums gave me the reassurance I needed to make my final decision. Getting the lap band has really saved my lfe and I would most certainly do it all over again if I had to. As of this morning I have lost 44.4 lbs and I feel awesome! In addition to my band I have been using a Bodymedia armband to assist me in my weightloss efforts and so far it's been very successful. It's kind of expensive but I feel worth it. Also, I have been using Twitter as kind of an accountability tool, as in if I tweet it I have to do it. I also follow @LapBandTalk to keep up with the forums. Everyone here is so encouraging, it makes me proud to be part of the Lapband community! So good luck to everyone in 2012!
  7. I was very hungry starting about 2 wks post op also. It was so hard to stick to the plan but you have to remember it's going to be totally worth it. As you progress to your mushies it will get easier. If your allowed try to puree or mush up some small curd low fat cottage cheese. I find that kept me satisfied for much longer than anything else and it is very high in protein. Congrats on your progress so far!
