    Is this Normal???

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions, guys! I guess, patience is the key to the game! Heather, just noticed that you and I got sleeved one day apart(mine was the 3rd). seems like you're doing well!
  3. Today was my 15th day post op. Saw my surgeon this morning and he said everything looked fine and to go ahead and start my "pureed diet." Well, this am, I tried a loosely scrambled egg and was able to eat about half with no issues. All day I had my liquid diet such as no sugar added juice, strained lentil Soup, Water, etc. For dinner, I had about 3 oz. of black bean soup from Trader Joe's with about 2 0z of cottage cheese, which didn't fill me up, so I had 4 oz. of tomato juice. I was still hungry so I had a full stick of string cheese and had no difficulty holding it down. I guess, i still feel hungry!! Now I am worried if my sleeve is going to work for me! I am not sure if this is normal. What do you guys say?
  4. I've been taking Omeprazole since the morning after surgery.
  5. Not sure of the difference between physical and head hunger! I just know is that I didn't get the "soft burp" most people talk about or any other discomfort. I guess I'm glad I only had 3oz pre measured into my bowl or I'd have kept going!
  6. Sleeved on 8/3 and had some issues with not being able to meet my recommended fluid intake the first 4 days (now resolved). Last 3 days I have been SUPER HUNGRY!!! Still on full liquids for one more week. I just had 3oz of canned tomato soup with 2 crackers in it and polished it off in 5 minutes and still hungry! Is this normal, guys???
  7. I am so worried because I feel I might get dehydrated this way. 15 oz of fluids are not really anything.... What have I done to myself? Does this get better?
  8. Thanks for all the replies! I have thus far managed to squeeze down approx. 15 oz of fluid today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
  9. Hello all, I have been a lurker here since before my surgery. I had the VSG on Wednesday the 3rd. My first day post op(yesterday) I had a lot of difficulty even keeping down water. Today is my 2nd day post op and I was discharged from the hospital this morning. All day I have only been able to take in 4-5 of the 1-oz med cups of water and homemade clear chicken soup (strained). I do not feel like I have any energy at all. Is this normal?
