    BTW: just FYI my brother was in town (use to be a bartender) so he was concocting many mixed cocktails for the family so I've never had that much constant alcohol in my system since banded..maybe it was a shock to the band lol... just so you know it was a holiday thing haha it kinda sound like I stayed drunk for 3 days when I re-read my last post

    Hello Everyone, wow I have a lot to catch up on.. I had to go back and start reading from the 19th.. JDI- I still run 3.1 miles 2x's a week with my running group or in my neighborhood and occasional add in a short run (about 1.5 to 2 miles) too. But Next time I register and pay for an official timed race I just hope to be at my goal of running the entire course. It's just a personal goal that's all always challenging myself. Rkimom - I know I'm late but glad you've joined the group, I've read your posts and since I've been back to taking my vitamins on a regular basis..I am terrible with that but getting much better. LadyB - I worry about erosion and slippage every time I get a stomach ache, I noticed over the holidays I did great with food but did bad with the wine & mix drinks on Tues, Wed & T-Giving and noticed by Friday I felt like my band was having spasms I got really scared, so I stopped the alcohol and no more spasms, then tried a mix drink on Monday (as a test) and boom, spasm feeling again. I guess me and alcohol no longer get along! well thank goodness I'm not a heavy drinker lol so this should be an easy issue to fix. I see everyone survived Thanksgiving..that's wonderful. I had 1 plate of food, 1 small dessert and I was done with dinner for the day (no seconds) I shared cooking with my mom and my daughter cooked the desserts so that helped with the pre-meal eating. I cooked the vegetables and "light" sweet potato casserole, that helped too. I forgot to post my Monday morning weight still 192. All the running doesn't seem to help however I'm maintaing just perfectly lol, guess I need to switch it up a bit either run more and/or add in some strength training or something. To reach the yearly goal I set by 1/17/13 I'm suppose to be at 175. hmmm, may not quite make it, right now I'm about 17lbs off, but I feel great so I'm ok with it (but I'm still going to try to get as close as possible )

    Today's weight 192 (no loss but it is ttotm). Ladybandito, I can't believe I missed my appointment on Friday! That has never happened. I don't know where my head was. Due to the holidays I can't get in till December 14th! I'm still having the on/off very tight to completely loose days.. Nicole, the 5k was good. A little more running this time shaved off a couple minutes from the 1st 5k in Oct. I don't plan to do anymore 5k races until I can run the entire 3.11 so now I just practice practice practice lol Hope everyone is doing well..

    192 (-3) I think or (-2) but it's minus YaY. I've been walking/running a lot this week then a 5k on Saturday, well I shaved 2.5 minutes off my 5k since my last official 5k Oct 6th.. Now if I can get to where I can run 3.11 with no walking that would be terrific and 1 of my major goals. On a different note has anyone had this happen. I got a fill on Oct 19th and I've had noo trouble eating since that date but last week and several times during the week I had a lot of trouble keeping things down (lots of vomiting ) maybe thats why I lost 2-3pounds. Early, late, midday didn't matter everything I ate seem to get stuck and I bring it back up..then it stopped last couple days no issues even ate a bagel (I know thats a no-no) at 9am this morning with NO problems at all...it's crazy some days I'm so tight nothing work not even liquid then boom it seems I'm wide open! what's going on with that..it happened like that back in August so I skipped the Sept. fill thought I was good then wide open so i got .25 fill in October, thought I found green zone then thought too tight and now feel wide open.. my next fill is Nov 19th not sure if I should go.

    Hello All, I decided to get another fill haven't had 1 since Aug 7th. I only lost 5lbs since Aug7th but funny my clothes are fitting better and better. I needed an emegency pair of sweatpants..got caught in the rain needed to run an errand and didn't want to go wet...so ran into Target to find a pair of sweats so I grabbed a pair of 12-14 eye'ing them only thinking "Lord, I hope they fit"..purchased, ran to the bathroom they fit with room to spare! I was so happy I double checked the size and everything!! So I'll stop worrying about th scale. A few weeks ago, My friend told me to go to NY and Co because they were having a pants sale..I looked at her and said "girl I can't fit anything in there" she laughed and said "you don't look in the mirror very often, I bet you can NOW GO!" I still haven't but that was a great comment to hear! I've really gotta get Lane Bryant off my 1st place to stop and look for deals. I purchased pants awhile ago from LB's 14's and now they are all a little baggy. Next time I'm ready to shop I'm going anywhere but Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart! it's all the coupons that keep me drawn! I guess I better start signing up at other stores now. OK I'm rambling. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'll be starting solids today wish me luck! If I bite smaller I'll be ok I think.

    Chrissy - wow you are definitely an inspiration! I would love to be able to call myself a "runner" one day tho. I'm not a good fast walker, I feel like I can stroll or jog no in between pace for me lol weird, I know! I'm going to register tomorrow for the Nov 10th FreetoBreath lung cancer 5k my father-in-law passed of lung cancer so it would mean alot to make this my 2nd run! I haven't "run" (using that term loosely lol) since last Saturday until today OMG it was like starting all over again I barely made 2 miles total.. Good luck with the Mayor's 5k Challenge next month and 90 pounds is fantastic!! WOW you'll be at 100 in NO TIME.. I was hoping to hit 75 by Thanksgiving but I dont think my body want to agree that would be almost 22 or so pounds, that would be tough to pull off since I've been stuck this last month+ in the upper 190's (197-199). Nicole.. thanks! I'm not big on posting pics. I was waiting to do my "after" picture till my bandiversary on Jan17th.. but with the holidays I may not want to lol My goal is to always drink a Protein shake before visiting anyone's home and recruit my mom to do all the cooking so I'm not snacking through it. Everytime I feel I'm hungry I'll drink a glass of Water first to buy me more time (if it's too soon to be eating). Finally I recruited my oldest daughter (14, who btw loves to run with me & my biggest supporter) to fix all my plates over the holiday and only focus on veggies and meat lol thats a start of trying to keep the extra pounds off!

    ok a while ago I said everytime the scale don't want to move and I come and post about it seem to make the scale move lol, This morning 3lbs less!! maybe its the fact that I'm talking about it, in my mind I know what the problem is then I must unconsciously fix the problem haha. Thanks for being supportive! JDI said it best.. "I know a big part of my success is having people I can talk to who are going through the same thing.." I love reading about the accomplishments, ups, downs and struggles and no judgements! BTW, I think I'll try another 5k November 10th! -Chrissy have you done any more races since your 1st one??

    Hello I'm still here just lurking in the background lol. I've been wrapped up in so much lately. Even though everyone has been super supportive I've been a bit embarrassed that I'm still at 199 some times it will go to 198 over the last month. I'm not logging my food I know that is mistake #1 but I've been exercising regularly mostly running about 2-3 days a week.. I ran/jogged/walked my very 1st 5k Saturday oct 6th it wasn't a fast run but I did it in 44 minutes. So despite my exercise efforts the scale seem to be stuck!! I don't eat bad foods and I stick to all the dietary no-no's but I don't portion control or watch the clock I eat something whenever I'm hungry. I do have that extra tight in the morning and at night syndrome too. I cancelled my last fill in Sept because I was throwing up quite a bit on things I shouldn't be. I didn't want to come here and have a pity party. The funny thing is I'm getting lots of compliments and I've purchased a few LB 14petites straight leg pants (yes I'm short lol) so that helped keep my head out falling into a self-pity mood. So all in all the scale isn't moving but I feel good. Thanks so much for asking about me that made me feel greet. I ran the 5k yesterday morning and had a very busy day..So I slept in this morning and now I can't sleep now and I'm very happy I started reading the messages. I'll spend some time catching up although I do get to read many of the posts from my phone when I get a chance.

    Meredith, I should have come to the Jersey Shore it's been many many years since I've been..I grew up in NJ and as a child went to Long Branch a many of summers! I remember when the haunted house burned down! didn't get a weight, MIL had a scale but no batteries..I figured it was a sign to just wait till I got home and exercised some of her food off.. lol Chrissy and JDI - I got my husband to mention I'm watching what I ate..MIL was great about it..she even baked me a few things..but I couldn't resist her fish..yes it was fried! I love fish..weakness. but I think I did ok. Hope everyone else is doing well. Now I'm in Atlanta on a work trip and today with 5 other co-workers tried to eat an early lunch and low and behold STUCK on chicken salad!! it was so hard to pretend all was well I just kindly said ..hmm, I need to find the restroom... hoping I could make it as I could feel it coming back up and fast with lots of gurgling.. then of course I couldn't eat right away once I returned. It was weird just saying to everyone 10 minutes b4..I'm hungry and then having everyone look at me like why are you not eating! Now to get through the next few days!

    My phone was out in the car at the time! I will see if the scale will be merciful tomorrow morning and get that photo..I'll be traveling up to NJ tonight into tomorrow morning hopefully my mother-in-law have a working scale..cause God only knows what the scale will be come Monday morning when I get home after all her cooking (and no knowledge of the lapband)..

    Hello Everyone, just thought I'd drop in and say hello it's been a good long while. Summer schedule has been rough! I have LOTS to catch up on with you all.. Last couple months weight loss has been slow since I cut my exercise down almost 1 maybe 2 days a week. However I felt so good this morning I got out the shower and stepped on the scale and saw 199..I almost screamed I knew it would go away once I got dressed so I just cherished that moment. Just wanted to share and I'll make sure I spend some time catching up with everyone's posts..

    Chrissylu, Thanks for sharing your song with us..it was great! I wish I could sing. My brother has a beautiful voice..talent must of skipped me. I can't believe I'm about to say this. I realized I neglected my food logging today because I haven't eaten anything but a sugar free pudding.. I've been working (moderately hard) but nothing out the usual and just had an unwich from Jimmy Johns - I just learned of those (A sub sandwich but a lettuce wrap instead of bread) I was about to enter it in my fitnesspal at 3:30 and it dawned on me I wasn't hungry almost all day. Now that is unusual.. I know that's not healthy to go all day without eating but to now have to remind myself to eat is just crazy lol maybe today was just a fluke.

    Hello everyone hope you all had a good weekend. I've been kind of down and out with this coughing and stuffiness over the weekend. So far so good with the food logging (today anyway). Ok, is this strange.. I've been down about my lack of seeing the scale move only 1.8 pounds for over a month and AS SOON as I post and vent about 3 days later I get on the scale and I'm 5/6 pounds LESS!! I got on the scale at the YMCA Sat morning and it read 202 and later at home it read 203..I was like WOW so all I needed to do was vent out my frustrations to get the scale to move lol I should try that more often!! 3 more pounds to onederland..OMG I can't believe it. Hopefully it won't take me over another month to get there!

    Nikki, I'm like that with my exercise. I use my Nike+ and a heartrate monitor for any exercise I do. I know how many minutes in "fat burning" mode vs "Fitness/Endurance" mode, fat calories burned etc. I wish I could be as diligent with my darn food logging. I started today with the logging...so far so good haha since I only had a 1/2 cup of fresh fruit and coffee lol Thanks for all the support. I bet you looked great in your swimsuit in your head and in everyone else eyes!! Today I wore a dress (I NEVER wear dresses) and it's a size Large (vs. my pre-band 2x).. I've gotten so many compliments today at work my head is in cloud 9. That sure took my mind off of being stuck on the same weight for a month. Now everyone (who don't know) starting to ask "what are you doing to lose so much weight??" hmm trying to decide on how much truth to give I just say "eating better and exercise" which is still very very true.

    Thanks I'll try shaking things up and more patience but its been a month so I must be throwing something off balance where I'm just maintaining and not losing. I'm terrible at logging my food. I do have myfitnesspal app on my phone. I've just never been good at logging anything haha I could barely keep my diary current when I was a teen. However, I will give it my all with remembering to log everything I know that will help me see where I could be going wrong.. Thanks!

    Hi Chrissylu, I do 2 days weight training (Les Mills Body Pump) at the YMCA and 3-4 days cardio which is a combination of Zumba, Couch 2 5K or Elliptical. Maybe I'm doing too much..think that's possible??
