  1. How do you eat 80 grams of Protein and stay within your calories? Would love some hints.
  2. I was banded July 19th , I only lost 22 pound too. I've had 2 fills so far and my restriction seems so minimal. I have a 10 cc band with 4.5 filled. I can guzzle Water with no issues and can eat well over a cup of food. I have increasd my workout and water, hoping to see a difference.I eat about 50 grams of Protein, i should increase that too. My doctor is happy with the results, but Im not. They say you will lose the most in the first 6 months, so this sucks. Let me know if you find anything that helps !
  3. Wow, Thank you, awesome topic! I consider myself fairly intelligent, but stupid around food. For some reason I just excepted the fact I would be fat my whole life. Everyone around me is fat, no one excersises. We are all big boned and a fat family. Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that every family gathering is based around food , and enough to feed a small country. Not to mention the only vegatable on the table is made with a pound of butter and cheese whiz. . I was the second in my family to lose alot of weight 170 pounds, and gained it all back. I have come to the conclusion that Iam an addict and Iam a compulsive over eater and I am addicted to food.
  4. I have a Large 10 cc band, and I am at 4.5 cc full. I feel as though I dont have enough restriction. I can guzzle 8 oz of liquid with no issue, also can eat lot more than 8 oz at a time. I dont have a chew alot nor do I have to wait to drink. I never have been stuck or pb (not that Im complaining) but being a food addict, I thought the band would assist with the self control, I so lack. So I was wondering, what amount is your ideal fill?
  5. How did you get your insurance to pay? Was it a long process?
  6. Try to push your stomach out while doing a crunch and contracting your abs. Sounds hard but its not. Good luck next time
  7. It goes away. They most likely put a tube down your throat, so it's still soar. Dont worry about it.
  8. I haven't experienced stuck or pb yet, but i heard papaya enzyme helps.
  9. Be thankful ... if that is all you miss C:
  10. Just remember nothing tastes as good as thin feel. Maybe you sould tell your Mom about how difficult she is making this. I think everyone should have a safe haven, with a positive support system. If your Mom is eating that way 3 days in a row , i'll bet she needs help with her weight. All the best!
  11. I was banded on July 19th and feel the same as well. I can chug Water and eat large bites. I try not to but at times I forget. I get fuller faster than I would normally. I had a fill of 3cc last week expecting a huge change and all is the same. I 'am losing slower than I'd like, but i need to increase my exercise. All the best! As they say if It aint broke, dont fix it !!!
  12. In my experience its been 7- 10 pounds per size.
  13. I was wondering the same, after my first fill of 3cc, I didn't feel much different. ( i thought maybe he missed) Might be getting alittle fuller faster, but that is about it. I have yet to experience any sickness , "stuck feeling" or restriction. I dont have to take small bites either. The food I eat is soft for the most part, but I thought it was going to be alot different not complaining, trust me. But I do wish the weight loss was faster. I lost 20 pounds since the July 19 so I can' t really complain. Still learning thats for sure, its amazing how different the band is for each of us. I'm so greatful my band and I are friends.
  14. I was banded on July 19th and I'm down 19 pounds. I wish I had more energy anyone else still feel sluggish???
  15. I had my surgery on July 19th and my first fill of 3cc on August 22. I dont feel any different when I eat. Yesterday was liquids and today is soft foods. I still dont have any energy, since the surgery. I feel tired all the time. I still drink Protein drinks because I find it hard to get all my protein . I have to step up my excersise. Anyone taking diet pills for energy??
  16. I heard its very easy to get pregnant, so FYI if your not trying.
  17. I too am eating between 500 and 800 calories a day. My doctor wants me to eat only 8 ounce of mushy food a day. It is way too little. I feel so weak and tired all the time. I eat a shake around 11, a can of soft vegatables and 3 ounces of chicken. i've lost 12 pounds but I'm almost a month post op. It is very hard to continue to starve yourself when you are not seeing any results. I'am getting my first fill in 1 week hoping for some answers.
  18. I was told 8 ounces of mushie food for the entire day, allowing carbs with potatoes or hot cereal. Then week 3 no more carbs, incorporate fish for the entire week then week 4 chicken then lean beef last. I'm sure you can eat the 8 ounces throughout the day anyway you wish. Hope that helps
  19. I have been not cheating at all and the scale is not moving. I know my diseased mind thought I would wake up skinny from the surgery. I know I have to do the work, to see the results. It just sucks. I have been excersing and following the mushie diet but my brain works better with scale rewards. When I'm losing my brain is all in, when I'm stuck our worse (gaining) it shuts down and wants to sabotage any progress. I must retain my brain, then maybe we all can get along. Me , Myself and that bad ol' scale.
  20. I was wondering to they put out a decaf, since surgery I'm not allowed caffiene.?
  21. What is your favorite healthy treat you use as a staple when others are eating on holidays or parties etc...?
