    Lap Band slipped

My band slipped BECAUSE I vomited. I had a REALLY bad prolapse, so painful... Then it happened again. My tech who is very very experienced says once you have a prolapse, it is likely you will have another. It will just keep on happening. My band feels like it moves around. I can't afford to keep going in for fills/unfills. No insurance, no money... I was told that your supposed to keep yourself from vomiting... Really? go the rest of your life without throwing up? What about a stomach bug, drinking too much, motion sickness, food poisoning... its that realistic? I think not.

After 4 years the band is coming out1

How are you doing...How do you feel? Was the surgery to remove it as painful as putting it in? I hated that pain from them putting in the gas to expand the abdominal cavity. It was the worst. I'm considering having mine out, but i have no insurance and no money for it. I've had repeated prolapses and struggling with acid, and pain.
  3. Thanks for the article. I'm 30. Had band put in 2 and a half years ago. Have had 2 prolapses. Had a baby, and then refilled and having pain, heartburn. My Band isnt right. Very compliant. Regretting my choice to get the band. I was self pay and now i'm not working, have a baby and my spouse just got layed off. No insurance, cant afford to pay 250 for each fill/unfill/checkup. My tech has seen it over and over and over and over again. Once you have a prolapse, and especially a second, it will just keep on happening. Have had gallbladder attacks, so painful, made childbirth seem fun. My dr's office doesnt seem to care now that they got my dough and I'm out of contract and out of money. ;(

    Severe Upper Back Pain

I had a similar episode a month or so ago that lasted on and off for nearly two weeks. It was MISERABLE. Did a bunch of research and came to the conclusion it was my gallbladder. Was checked out by my office, fluroscopy and band was fine. they said it sounded like my gallbladder also. My uncle had his GB taken out so I called him to ask about my symptoms and he said sounded like a gallbladder attack exactly. It can't always be diagnosed with ultrasound...or at all. My symptoms really fit with a GB attack, precisely. I also found out that the hormonal birth control implant I had put in a few months ago after having my daughter is correlated to GB problems. I'd try the GB diet and see if it helps. No processed food, google gallbladder attack and check out the diet.

    Can't Eat with Bra On

I've also noticed that food seems to get stuck and doesnt go down as easy when i'm wearing a bra. Especially when i wear a heavy underwire and am going out to a restaurant, sitting straight up. I've had to go into the bathroom and lift up my bra and take some deep breaths, relax my abdomen and it helps if something gets stuck. Its not in your head.
