  1. I went to the doctor yesterday and she recommends I have 80-100 grams of protein. I'm on soft foods now but it will still be a challenge.
  2. I have a box of Swiss Miss sugar-free hot chocolate. It's only 60 calories. Only 2 grams of protein but I am so craving it. Just wondering if this would be okay & safe to try...
  3. I usually sit in front of the TV to eat so I look up at the cable box clock and take a bite every minute. I make sure I concentrate on chewing well too.
  4. Oh no! Maybe you'll need anti-nausea medicine. I hope you feel better soon.
  5. LOL, but it's the good fat, so it's okay
  6. I had 3 Italian-style meatballs last night. First few bites it was painful going down. This has been the case.for most soft/solid foods lately...don't know why...
  7. My nut & doc both said I can eat the Italian style meatballs. I had 2 small meatballs at my hospital (they had.some sort of event) they were bland but I got sick from them. Strange how the Italian meatballs which are not as soft amd have more spices went down without a problem. Got figure... I'm going to try my Italian style meatballs for dinner tonight, hope they don't get me sick! They're so yummy!
  8. Yes, sounds good. I didn't think of it. I will look for where they offer them in my area. Thanks for the support.
  9. My surgery was on 1/25/13. Up until about the last 2 Weeks I was losing weight consisyently & quickly. I wasn't even trying and the pounds were coming off. I guess the "honeymoon" period is over. About 2 Weeks ago and around the time I began soft foods, I noticed my weight loss slowed down significantly. I think I've only lost 2 or 3 pounds in the past 2 Weeks. What's worse, I just weighed myself and I gained about a pound and a half! This is frustrating. I eat small portions, try best to follow guidelines but no progress. Is this it? Is it going to be very difficult now to lose the weight? I still haven't met my goal. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I don't drink plain water, I drink Crystal Light, I have had lowfat cream cheese on wheat thins for snack, and I haven't been exercising due to pain or fatigue. Are these my errors? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
  10. Yes, that's how I can tell I don't have it anymore either. I stopped snoring, yay! I did not need my CPap anymore since about a week after surgery.
  11. Having lentil soup and avocado again tonight.
  12. Good thing you've contacted your P.A. to make sure nothing is wrong. I've had pain in my side. I can't tell what it could be, it comes & goes. I have had kidney stones in the past and an ovarian cyst and the pain is similar to both. Fortunately, I have an appt. with my doctor tomorrow so I can ask then. Good Luck!
  13. Let me repeat that I do not mean to criticize/judge or offend anyone here.
  14. That sounds delicious! I wonder if we can have turkey bacon. I'd love a strip for breakfast. Yum. That regular bacon is sooo good!
  15. Dinner tonight was lentil soup and a small piece of a hass avocado. Yum!
  16. Yes, I do but it's not on my list and I have a feeling won't let me have them (too greasy)
  17. Oh and are those homemade? I bought Italian meatballs but they have beef and pork
  18. This entree is small and I was going to attempt to finish my half of the Mac n cheese but it did seem like too much. I bought it because the Salisbury steak is soft and moist. I won't have it until I check With my nutritionist first this Friday Thanks.
