  1. Welcome! Read a lot here, it's a great place! Why 6 weeks??? That is a lifetime.
  2. Are you meeting your Fluid requirements? That is also a possibility.
  3. I am so glad you took my comments the right way. I say these things and then worry I might be offending others. I do think you will find your voice!!!!!
  4. I could have written your post MsKelly. This is why I tell people that love me and I don't get upset by their different responses. They are being honest and I appreciate that. In the end, they will most likely be there to support you whether "they get it" or not. Do what feels right to you Fireflyx.
  5. I loved your post. I want to be free as well so I hope to persevere like you. Congratulations!!
  6. Well I am only 3 wks out and already they are geographically lost AND they are getting longer by the day. However, thanks to a breast reduction years ago , they can only elongate so much. I will take the socks if I lose the obesity. :-)
  7. I have goosebumps. WOW!!!!!! You made a great decision not loosing that booty. You should be doing commercials!!!!!!! You rock girl!
  8. You are on the losers bench now!!!!! Woot!
  9. Holy cow, 65 pounds really show! What a difference! Congrats!!!!
  10. The Oh Yeah ready to drink bottles are good too. Like the previous poster, I also like Lean Body on the go. I actually like to have both, ready to drink and a powder. Variety is key for me. Best wishes!
  11. OMG friend!!!!!!!! You did it, you did it!!!!!
  12. On the practical side consider eating it and then giving the rest away. Your boyfriend can take it to the office, or you can buy it by the slice (personal size)etc. The point is you will save yourself a lot of grief if it is out of the house or in the trash with some nasty stuff on top of it. :-)
  13. ((raising hands)). I had to have gallbladder surgery after losing 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I had one horrendous attack and out it went in 3 days. I have never missed it. Hope all of you feel better!!
  14. Aren't protein shots a "lower" form of protein or something like that? I seem to remember reading here they are not recommended. Worth checking it out.
  15. One more thing. I believe a "multiple prong approach" is what's going to get her the answer and in my opinion a therapist should be one of those components. We can be with someone for extended periods of time, but not 24 hours. She stops losing at around 30 pounds every time and that is something worth looking into physically and mentally. I wish you and your mom the best. Please keep us updated !!
  16. OMG how awesome is THIS!!!! LOVE IT!
  17. bellabbr- I am no expert of course, but think trying to put mashed potatoes in a tummy that was just cut 6 days out is WAY too soon in my opinion. If you want (and your surgeon approves) to go up a step, I would start with thicker soups, or continuing with homemade well seasoned yummy broths. Actually drinking strained french onion soup from Panera was the highlight of my days. You could try the watery Asian soups if you like those. I was able to puree no sugar added canned fruit at your stage as well. All that gives you variety. I ate 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes on day 18 and it went down great. You will be able to eat real food SOON! So buckle down & pamper yourself with foods that allow your fragile tummy to heal. You can do this!
  18. It didn't make any difference to my healing process. I had a ton of food funerals, no pre-op diet and I am recovering beautifully. I was able to eat until 4pm the afternoon before!
