Sweetie, congrats on having been sleeved!!! You've come so far and worked so hard to get where you are right now. Please afford yourself every opportunity for a healthier lifestyle. Cheeseburgers are good, in fact they are better than good they are simply delicious and there will be time for them down the line but for now we have a strict plan to follow and we can definitely do it. Like you I had a movement the day before surgery. When I was released from the hosiptal I was given Tylenol 3 (Tylenol with coedine) for pain and it's known to cause Constipation -- which it did. At my 1 week appointment I told my doctor that I hadn't gone and he suggested Milk of Magnesia. Not "going" after surgery is extremely common... so is watery stools (which I have yet to experience).
I think you'll become more regular when you take in more food. As long as you're passing gas or hearing/feeling rumbles in your lower belly that means your intestines are functioning which is a great thing. Before you know it you'll have stools-a-plenty - LOL.
If you don't go soon, consult with your physician. He/she will guide you with regard to which over the counter medicine to take.

This is amazing. I was going to respond by saying that I didn't have my procedure done at Abington Memoial Hospital in Phila, PA., but one of my very good friends, her mother - whose name is Mrs. Denise - had her procedure done there and I believe she too had a very positive experience.

When I read things from the men's forum I always smile...I just can't help it - LOL. I also learn a few things as well.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I too am 3 months out and half way to goal. I wanted to lose 100 pounds and I am already down 50. I had surgery September 20. 3 months and minus 50 lbs...I'll take it! Congradulations again and keep up the good work!

I can drink quite a bit of Water while on the treadmill but if I drink too fast I will get a very dull cramp - which doesn't last long. Initially, it may be hard for you to drink but as time goes by it does get very easy. Before you know it, all of the sip sipping will be out the window and you'll drink regularly. I'm nearing the end of my 7th week and probably sipped for the first 3 weeks.

Thank you Niki! That is something my husband really needed to hear, rather than "you're going to kill yourself" I'm not trying to be mean but that is not a very nice thing to say, especially considering he went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor was fine with what he had eaten. Steve understands where everyone is coming from, otherwise he never would have put this post up. He definitely appreciates the advice. Dr. Mason did confirm it is probably head hunger so that is something Steve is going to work on. Thank you all for your advice and we look forward to getting to know ya'll as we continue our journey together (I'm getting sleeved next week) :-)
