  1. Hi, Just wanted to drop a line on here to see if what I am experiencing is normal. LOL I had my surgery on Sept 19th and as of today have lost.................wait for it........................1 pound!! What's up with that??? I am feeling so amazing menatlly as the "weight" of worrying about how I am going to lose weight has been alleviated. However, now I am getting a little concerned about the slow progress. My roommate from the hospital has lost 7 so far. I am sticking to my liquid diet and making sure that everything is low sugar/sugar free and using lowfat options. Has anyone else had slow starts??
  2. Thanks so much for your responses! I can see that this online community is going to be of great help before, during and after my surgery. I think about how my life is going to be so different at least 100 times a day. LOL Most of the time it is with excitement but I must admit I have my fears as well. Knowing that I have this resource for help and support it very encouraging. Thanks again for your time.
  3. I am a 40 year old woman who has recently made the decision to have a sleeve done in Mexico in September. I am extrememly excited about having the procedure done, however I was curious to see if there is anyone else out there that has been sleeved that has hypothyroidism?? Do these people lose weight at a slower rate than everyone else?? I guess that is the one thing that concerns me the most is that I will have the surgery and still not lose alot becasue of this condition.
