Awesome!!!! Congratulations! let me know if I can do anything for you. Are you on facebook? A friend I met at the support group in LaGrange started a small vsg group. Only about 8 people. If you're interested send me a FB friend request. I am doing the HAPPY DANCE for you!!!

Hi Linda, Nice to meet you! I'm also in my fifties...I had my surgery on May 23 of this year. The liquid diet isn't so bad, I was so excited about my surgery by the time I started it, I felt like I could do anything I needed to do. I look forward to hearing about how things are going with you. Robin

Hi lydyjo! I sent you a friend request (at least I tried to!) We have some things in common...I am also 50ish, I had complications after my surgery and I am from the south (GA). My surgery was 5/23/11 so I'm not much farther out than you. I think we could be good support for one another. Robin (lolasmom)

5 weeks/43 pounds

Very well now. I had bleeding from the staple line one week out and had to have emergency surgery, blood transfusions, several days in ICU...but I made it through...I love my doctor. I had a follow up yesterday and I have lost 33 lbs! I started eating regular food yesterday and had a little chewing issue...I ate too fast and didn't chew well enough and I was uncomfortable for about three hours
