Xavier- very inspirational. Thank you. I'm due for my next fill February 1. I know I'll make it, just frustrated. So glad I vocalized that here.
-
Kristen- I have lost inches, all over and clothes are fitting differently but I'm tying a lot up to that number on the scale.
Pudgey- I wish that were true.
-
Kristen- I have a Protein Shake every morning for Breakfast. lunch is spinach salad with 1/2 grilled chicken breast, sprinkle of feta cheese, balsamic vinegar. dinner is grilled veggies or 1/2 grilled chicken breast with another salad. Have totally changed the way I eat since I was banded. I exercise 4 days a week doing crossfit.

I was banded October 27. To date I've lost 10 lbs, which was preop. I have 4cc in a 14cc band and have no restriction. Seriously hoped to be further along by this point. Feeling very down about all of it.

Sanction, no need to be tacky. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

I have a family history of clots but doctor didn't feel it necessary. My cardiologist put me in meds 2 weeks prior to surgery as a preventative. Good luck.

Wow, Wayne. What an amazing job. Congrats.

Mmmm. Looks amazing.

Good luck. I'll be joining you in band land on Thursday.

Mine took 4 weeks with Cigna.

Jam & Polly - hi there. Thanks for the speedy answer. Looking forward to this journey. How about you all?

Hi guys. Surgery on 10/27. Would love a buddy.

skinnygrrlatheart .. It gets easier. I had the same pre-op diet and surgeon as D_1710. I would have to say that the second - third day was the worst. That is when I started going through withdrawals from Coke and caffeine. After that, it was smooth sailing. I had my surgery yesterday and all went well. I am sure that was in part due to following the pre-op diet and instructions. Good luck to you. I am sure you will do great.
Jumper, today is day 3 for me. Amazing to me how full I am. I have a Protein shake 3x a day and Jello if I need anything else. I had Jello the first day, simply because I felt I needed something. So far so good.
Good luck to you!

This whole adventure will be a test of your willpower. It gets a little easier, but will
always be a test, but at this time next year it will all have been worth it.
Corrigan, you're so right. I'm really learning the difference between head hunger and real hunger. Great lesson.

Awesome. Thanks, mabinty.

GREAT post, Godsgrace.

Good for you, D. Sounds like you've got the hang of it. Keep up that good work.

Kelly, sounds like you have a great bunch of co workers. I am choosing not to tell anyone but a handful of people and co workers aren't on that list. I had a lot of 'last supper's' last week too. For some reason, none of them were as good as I remembered. LOL
Good luck to you!!!
I start my 7 day preop diet of only Clear Liquids next Wednesday. I was looking forward to having all my favorite things this week. But instead I'm sick and have no appetite! So now I'm just using it as a motivator to say that I can make it through next week! And I tell myself everyday how much I love sugar free Jello and being able to freely eat it for 7 days will be a great blessing, lol.
I also clued my coworkers around me to what was going to happen next week, and they said they would do the diet with me as support! I work with a great bunch of people, but I assured them they didn't need to be starving themselves for a week. Just to keep an eye on me, and don't let me head towards the kitchen!

Subs, you're right. We will just fight and WIN!!!
Lolli, hang in there. We can do this!!!

I'm a carb addict. First day of 2 week pre op diet and a stressful day at work makes me want one thing...salty potato chips. I'm fighting it. This is more than a test of will power. This is a test of my fortitude. SOOOO glad I found this site. What a way to vent.
Hope all you other October bandsters are hanging in there. We have SO much to look forward to.

Thanks Bayou. I'm being banded on October 27. Very excited.

OMG, Bayou- I can't imagine.

Surgery 10/27/11. Had my 4th fill and am at 5.2 cc in a 14cc band. Have another month to wait. So frustrated. Expected restriction sooner.
