  1. Ciara, You are an inspiration!! Keep being wonderful! Raquel
  2. Hi Erica, I'm new here too .. I'm 29 years old. I was just banded on 7/13 .. so not to far ahead of you. I'm in the same boat as you .. drinking my stuff but still hungry. I'm trying to stay postive and know that it will get better! I also try to tell myself that something bad might happen if I eat some real food ..so I'll just warm some more chicken broth up ! I've lost 20lbs as of today (including what i lost during my pre-op diet) and that is very motivational!! If you ever need anyone to talk to .. I'm here. Raquel
  3. I was also banded on 7/13 and I'm down 17 lbs (including weight lost during my pre-op diet)!! Can't wait to get out of the 200lbs!!! Wishing you the best of luck!!
  4. I had the same thoughts as you Bandit! I just keep thinking about all my failed attempts at dieting and how much wasted money! Even my post op nurse asked me what I was doing there (mintues after my surgery!!) and how I got past the requirements. I weighed 238lbs at 29 ... i graduated from high school at 230 lbs .. .this is not a healthy way to live life! I was banded on July 13th, so I'm 5 days post op! As of today I am down 15lbs since I started the pre-op diet!. I am so happy that I went through with it and so glad that I did it for me! Good luck!!
  5. -- I completely feel you. I'm on day 5 post op and I'm getting headaches from lack of food I just keep drinking more and more broth but it only substains for 30 min or so. I'm being good though and sticking ot my thin liquids and dreaming of Wednesday when I move of to thicker liquids!! Quick question .. is Chicken Stock the same as Chicken Broth???? I picked the stock up on accident and wondering if its good to drink like a broth or if its only for cooking.
  6. Hello everyone! I'm so HAPPY I found you guys! I was banded on July 13th so currently 4 days post op. I'm glad much of what I'm feeling seems to be the norm after reading other posts. Taking the pain with a smile .. knowing that there is something wonderful waiting for me just around the corner!
  7. Hello all! I was banded on July 13th! I'm still pinching myself that this is all real and in time I'll be a smaller person! I'm still sore but able to get up and down much easier as of today. The one thing I'm avoiding is picking stuff up from the floor! I wish everyone a speedy recovery! Good luck!
  8. I've always been the Fat Girl too ... Its so exciting to think that that will change!!
  9. I was just banded on the 13th .. 2 days ago. Still trying to understand that its real! Good luck!
