Everyone's normal is different. You sound kind of like me. I never had any problems getting things down.

I take two Flintstones chewables with Iron daily (what my program recommends!).
In addition to which I take Vitamin E and milk thistle (for liver function, at the recommendation of my liver doctor.... darn fatty liver!); fish oil; and Citracal Petites. I also have sublingual B12 for when I'm running low between my shots.
Everyone's program is SO different. I wonder if there will ever be a standard for sleevers...

Everyone's loss is SO varied... I'm 8.5 months out and down just over 80-lbs. It's such an individual thing, but so hard not to compare ourselves to other people on the boards. Honestly, I think that's why I've been away for so long. The 100-lbs in 6-month'ers were a mix of inspiring and maddeningly frustrating....

My loss has been maddeningly slow. Since surgery, I've lost just over 20 lbs (it's been five weeks today). Four pounds a week is good, sure, but with as much as I have to lose, that seems light straight out of the gate! Best of luck, everyone.

Thank you! I guess one of the biology classes I have filed away in my brain somewhere knew that... but I totally forgot.

I took three of my PPI pills today (ranitidine)... and, unrelated, have been very thirsty for the past couple of days, meaning I've managed to get my Water all in for the first time in ages! But... I'm wondering if I didn't wash my pills out of my sleeve before they had a chance to work?
Was anyone advised not to drink excessively after taking meds for 15 or 30 minutes? It would make sense, but I was only told not to drink immediately after, or during, eating. No mention of medicines.

My surgeon gave the ok as soon as I was off of my narcotic pain meds for over 24-hours. But, if you're supposed to get an ok, I would call and tell them that you're off the medicine and have them say you're good to go.

Best of luck, lady. I haven't been feeling quite 100% myself for the past few days, so perhaps there's just a bug going around.... and not a leak!

I started with just over 200 to lose, and I'm so glad to see some successes in this thread. So many sleevers seem to have far less to lose, it's reassuring to know that I'm not alone!

When I was in my all-water-all-the-time phase, I would pee about once per Nalgene bottle, or after every liter (32oz). I took this as my body getting used to my Water ingestion and using it how it was meant to be used and my bladder working efficiently.

My reflux has gotten noticeably worse since being sleeved. I'm taking 150mg Zantac every morning and usually another dose in the evening. I'm hoping that it settles down once my stomach figures out that it's not there anymore.

I was cleared to swallow capsules and gelcaps at my one week post op. I was told to split tablets in half.

I had Lovenox both pre and post op in my lower abdomen... I got huge bruises at both sites and now (almost two weeks out) my entire lower abdominal area feels both sore and numb (it's odd).

The Captain was after me in a thread i posted, too.
I don't know what you're referring to, Kathy, but really, just brush it off. This place is supportive 95% of the time... that's a pretty good ratio.

A South Beach diet blogger just finished up a month of "phase 1" friendly recipes, many of which would be perfect for us sleevers. High Fiber, high Protein, low fat... it's a dream!

Yep! I just finished a pack of pills that's in the list of 'bad' lots and my cycle was all kinds of ****ed last month! I thought it was because of the pre-op liquid diet and then the surgery, but apparently not! Or at least, not all of it!
And I have two more packs from the same lot. Yeesh.
Thankfully, mine aren't really for birth control, per se, just regularity.

Congrats! I noticed an immediate change when I moved onto something a little more substantial, too, as far as restriction goes. It's great to finally know it's there, right?

That site is awesome. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone! I guess I'll just have to try a pair on and see how they lay.... trying them on at home at least won't be problematic!

I'm six days out from my surgery and have been making an effort to get out and about in the world. I'm lucky that I have a pair of elastic waisted sweat-pants style pants that I used for work trousers, and I've been wearing them when I have to go out in public.
I was wondering how long after surgery it was before you tried jeans?
I have an incision on my right side just above my belly button which falls in the roll my pants usually sit in, and I'm concerned about rubbing it. Not necessarily that it will hurt, just that I'll irritate it or slow the healing process.

So awesome!
