  1. you guys are so sweet. If you will allow me I will take a bow for all the guys on the forum.
  2. Have you tried weights? I know you said that cardio/aerobics but walmart sells some cheap dumb bells that you can do at your desk or on your couch. The weight you lost is great and if you are staying on top of your calories in then excercise is the missing component.
  3. Im on track to reach goal by 4 months. I lose at a very predictable rate and barring an unforseen stall I will get there very early. I attribute my quick losing to the GYM. I hit the gym hard 5 days a week and burn more calories than I take in a day through food. Excercise is the adreniline shot for sleeve surgery.
  4. Hello Ladies I hope you can forgive my intrusion into your sanctuary, but I needed some advice. My lady friend has been my ROCK through my sleeve process. She bought all my supplies, did my two week liquid diet with me slept on a cot at the hospital and refuses to eat any food around me so she wont tempt me. (she even drives to her moms for dinner and drives home) Anyway I want to do something special for her to let her know how much it means to me. I bought her a really cool tennis bracelet and want to give it to her, the problem is I can't bring her out for a nice dinner!! I can't go into Chez Expensique and order mushy confit, I wish. So where do I take her and tell her how much she means to me? I was thinking one of those central park horse carriages but it seems a bit cliche, any suggestions welcome.
  5. I found these pure protein shakes at gnc, they are the most tolerable I have had. Im alergic to milk so I need something that doesnt taste to milky. i buy the chocolate ones. 35 grams of protein per can.
  6. So Im 30lbs away from goal and Im very happy that the scale is cooperating. But Im already thinking about setting a new one. I was hoping I would look a lot leaner at 200lb for a guy but I still look like a slimmer version of the old me. I was talking to some hardcore guys at the gym who said I would be able to see recognizable changes at 180-175 so im thinking of setting that as new goal, but I want to celebrate reaching my original goal first so focused on that last 30 for this New Year. I should be one hot cookie by summer

    Faster Weight Loss With Exercise?

With just cardio you will drop weight quickly up to a point and then when your body is used to the exertion you will pleateau, however you will strengthen your endurance and cardiovascular system. With weight lifting you will not see the scale move as rapidly however you will be doing whats known as body sculpting. The weights are what actually change your body shape. Muscle requires a LOT of fuel to carry around and its primary source of grub is fat. Cardio can actually eat your muscle a bit if you run for to long. Most trainers recommend (and I got best results) from a split workout. It incorporates cardio and weightlifting. This will change your body type and make your heart healthier. Not knowing your stats I couldn't recommend what type of program is for you but you can always research and ask people in the gym who seem to get great results.

    Help from the Ladies

Srry for the delay in getting back ladies. I took your advice and the carriage ride against the lighted skyline was perfect! You ladies really know your romace and it paid of for me. HeHe. She actually cried and I told her of all the wonderful things she had supported me through and how I couldn't have done any of it without her. I thank you all for making her night so special.
  9. I would check the cosmetic surgery forum on the site. I know a lot of the guys who have had work post in detail about their experiences.

4 Month Update! 97 Lbs Down!

Are you sure that's not ur skinny little sister? You look amazing! And in such a short period of time, you are rocking it!
  14. Hey Gang Just wondering about capacity and the sleeve. Im about two months out and have been losing good, but I notice the capacity in my sleeve has increased. When I first returned to food two pieces of deli turkey felt like thanksgiving dinner and yesterday I was able to eat 4oz of lobster and 2 oz of shrimp for dinner. Im not sure if this is a lot for my sleeve as im still learning it, but I wasn't uncomfortable at all! I thought my stomach was the size of an egg, that seems a lot larger than an egg to me. Please give me your thought about the volume of food and if you went through anything like this and how'd you handle it.
  15. Not sure if this is where this should be posted, but input from those who have had success is probably what im looking for. By no means am I complaing I am losing weight at a steady rate and my health hasn't been this good since high school, but I was expecting more body conturing after 70 lbs lost. I definately can notice the changes in myself. My face is slimmer, my collar bone is visible and I can feel my ribs for the first time ever. But I notice that my body is turning into a smaller version of my fat body. I still have that fat hump over my butt (the most hated part of my body) albeit it smaller, I figured it would be gone by now. When did you guys start to notice that all the rolls were leaving? Im not being vain but I wanna be one of those guys who look good with no shirt on for the summer
  16. Count me in. I would love to read the paper as well. This is a subject that has generated interest for me for a very long time.

    Food Porn ( Graphic)

AWWW, Im so hot right now. LOL Ok I'll jump in We have a place in CT called Franklin Giant Grinders. It's a little Italian hole in the wall with the best sandwiches in the state. Once a week I would buy a whole combo (honey ham and smoked turkey) piled high with fresh lettuce and italian peepers and eat the WHOLE thing. Mind you this thing was about 18' long and 4-5' high. I guess thats how I avoid them, thinking of me sitting in my recliner in a meat coma is not a picture i care to re-develop.
  18. This is so true! We MUST Celebrate all of our victories small or large. But you can't blame a guy for wanting to look HOT!
  19. Hey Guys Im really jonesing for a McDonalds Strawberry milkshake. I have no intention of breaking my diet and slipping off the wagon, especially for a liquid heart attack (582cals) so im looking for healthy alternitives that would satisfy the craving. Im tired of the protein powder and I don't mind some 1% or skim milk. If anybody has a good, thick healthy shake recipe please share.
  20. Thanks guys! I feel much better now

    Soup Ideas?

Hello Guys Im a little under the weather and Im really craving some hot soup. im about a month and a half out and am very restrictive with carbs so all my go to comfort soups like chicken noodle are off limits. After the 4 weeks of liquids I kinda never wanna see broth again, so do you guys have any ideas for a high protein low carb comfort soup for a sick fella?

    Eating Out Guide

Hey Guys Is there a place on the board for selecting healthy, sleeve friendly meals when eating out at popular restaurants? If there isn't could anyone post up their experiences at places that are well known, what they ordered and how it worked with the sleeve? Places like Chili's, Friday's, Red Lobster, Subway, Panera, Au bon pan, you know the ones easily accesisble no matter where you live.
  24. I want to RUN everywhere, all the time. i find myself jogging through stop and shop and up and down the halls at work, Love this sleeve
