  1. Almost two month post op

Four more days and it will be two months since the time of my surgery. I am down sixty three pounds..I don't think that is bad at all. I was in a stall or so I thought that was what it was. Went almost two weeks without losing anything. I was getting really disappointed. Then, I weighed and had lost another six pounds. I was happy again. I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong. Sometimes, I get constipated and think maybe that is what's wrong. I use to eat lots of veggies, but not, it is mostly protein. Then again, sometimes I thiink I am not going to make it to the restroom quick enough. It's a little strange but I guess it just takes getting use to. I have lost 63 pounds total since liquid diet before surgery. It will be two months on the 25th..I'm not too disappointed. I know I didn't put all the weight on over night and it will take time. Just get impatient sometimes thats all. I see how much everyone around me eats and I eat like three or four bites and thats it..just feels it should be a greater loss. I sometimes get this weird feeling, its not that I'm hungry, or indigestion, its just a weird like feeling. I can't really explain it, so I have gotten in the habit of carrying sunflower seeds around with me. I just suck on those. They have the flavored ones. It seems to help with the wanting food when I see others around me eating. That isn't all the time though, just some time. I know, I'm weird..right? lol

  2. Seven weeks post op..

I am seven weeks post op..I am down 53 pounds. I feel like I am at a stand still. Haven't lost anything in the past week. I know I haven't been eating so much. My stomach won't allow it. I feel blessed to have lost this much so far. I am just disappointed that it has stopped. I need to lose like 150 more pounds and just want it to keep coming off. I don't want it to stop now. I see a lot of people post they have stalled like this before just to be patient. I am so trying to be patient but come on already!! lol..
  3. Eight day post op

Today is my 8 day post op..Went back to work yesterday..Man, I was tired when I got home. I had about a half of one of the single servings of applesauce for lunch/breakfast and wow, I was too full. I just drank water and grape juice the rest of the day. When I got home we had tuna helper. I just ate some of the creamy juice from the mix. It was good but careful not to have too much. Then before going to bed had a popsicle..Refreshing. Today, I wasn't hungry didn't eat breakfast, just had water and grape juice left from yesterday. I had a little bit of melted cheese with refried beans for lunch. Again, I'm so surprised at how full I was. We went tonight to have chinese, my husband and our friend wanted chinese. I had like two bites of chicken, and that was it for me..Nothing else for the night. I'm too full, so it's just water now..I'm trying to make sure I drink enough water and it is definitely keeping me full. My stomach is still so sore. Guess I'm just exhausted tonight..think I'm going to go to bed early again. I just keep forgeting I have just gone through surgery and need to rest more. My body just aches. Hopefull tomorrow, being the third day back at work. It will be better.. I hope.
  4. Five days Post Op!

Over all I'm feeling pretty good. My stomach still bruised up and draining some where pump was..It is healing though. I'm so glad the surgery is in the past and I have began the healing process. I was so obsessed with learning all I could about the surgery before hand. My husband said i was way to obsessed. I guess I just wanted my life to get better. I was on the liquid diet three weeks. I lost 23 pounds before surgery. Then at weighing in time before surgery I had made it from 343 pound to 317 so I was already off to a good start. I am 310 today. I am proud of the results so far. Just hope it keeps going. My husband is preparing to have the gastric bypass in a month or two so he will be experienceing the same feelings. He was so very optimistic about me going to Mexico for my surgery but so far all is good. I have no complaints with Dr. Mario Almaza Reyes.. Everyone there in Tijuana were very attentive to our needs. The recovery house was very awesome. Everyone was awesome! My cordinator Louise was so very helpful every step of the way. She is very good at her job. I would be able to recommend them to any one that was contemplating the surgery. I think at the time I was there there were five of us having surgery the same day. I was the largest out of them all. I am so glad it will not be like that always. Soon, I will be able to fit into the normal category. This is going to work. I am going to use my new tools to my fullest ability. I thank all of you that are there for my support to make this happen. I will be updating my progress hopefully pretty frequently even if it's just for my purposes.. It like writing myself a letter reminding me of things I have done. As far as the eating goes. As for now, I haven't been eating much about one meal a day..about a half a cup of broth. Everything else pretty much liquids..Water, juices, popsicles. I am content though. I haven't been feeling hungry at all. I still have the fullness feeling. So all is well in Lisa's surgery land ..I am happy..
