Vertigo
Even though you aren't on BP meds...I agree with Kelly...that's what it sounds like and you need to have your BP checked. You have described low BP symptoms. I'm sure they aren't exclusive to that...but it is what I experienced (especially going from a sit or squat to a stand...woooooooooo). Vertigo will effect you even in a horizontal position (i.e., in bed and you roll over and the whole room spins). Then you may have an inner ear infection.

Eating Slowly
I agree with putting the utensil down and then I wait until my mouth is completely done and swallowed the food. Then sort of "trace" the food going down until it arrives in your tummy (in your head...not literally HAHAHA) unless you want to practice alone!! I have actually sat on my hand (eating hand)...just subtely slid it under the outside of my thigh and left my other hand on the table or in a natural pose. I don't want to look like I'm freaking out to whomever I'm with. lol

Dr. Kelly post-op questions...
I also took my meds whole...I took a sip of Water in my mouth, popped the pill, swallow. A sip to chase if necessary...but either way...drink as much after the pill to work it on down. I never took the acid reducer (what was the name of it? I just took the penicillan). I've never felt acidic... guess I'm luck!

Overwhelmed and want to cry......
I think we all suffered the gas pain...I felt like I was giving birth to an alian through my chest...and I've had not one, but TWO eleven pound kids! I had that pain in my left shoulder too...walking was the only relief...UNTIL I had the drain removed. I've had a few moments since (left shoulder) but nothing like prior to the drain removal. I had experienced this with one of my C-sections and so I knew what the cause was... I pray it gets better. It's sort of catch 22...you want the gas moving, but movement of gas = discomfort!! Take your pain meds, take your gas meds...keep moving!!

Rationally Irrational! Stall continues…
OMGosh, I’m going to be the ONLY sleever who never loses another pound! (SHUT UP! ) It’s truuuuuuuuuuueee. (I said, SHUT UP! You are not…it’s virtually impossible. NO, it’s TOTALLY impossible!) What am I doing wrong??! (Nothing! Would you stop?!) (Are you crying??!) …*sniff*…no…. (Remember when pastor said, “Picture two dogs fighting. Which dog is going to win?”) Yeah (Remember the answer??) Yeah, “The one you feed.” (Good girl, DO NOT give in and feed the fear!)

No Faux Pho For Me!
There is Pho-Bac on 7th 2 or 3 doors up from MLK...and on MLK (just next to the pawn shop on the corner...) There is Pho King (*be careful where you say THAT out loud!) lol They have Bahn-mi YUM I just read in the Tacoma News Tribune that a place at 7th/Yakima is Bahn-Mi heaven. I haven't been there, but I do love Bahn-Mi and plan on having one when I'm able (maybe half lol...maybe in 3 months!) HA

Why do I think I can eat more than I can???
4 words: Old habbits die hard! lol Sleeved July 7....and I've done it too!!! Especially when it "tastes so good" after a month or more of "bland" or "nothingness" hahaha I'm hoping the novely wears off. I've just started eyeballing how much I can have and sort of shove everything off to the side. If I'm preparing it, I am just putting the estimated portion on my plate and quickly giving my "left-overs" to one of my human food vacuum sons!

Coffee
Mine is Ok...recommends decaf, but it's not going to put me in jeopardy because I'm one that doesn't have an issue with keeping hydrated. 2 days after my surgery, I had the choice of Lemon-Lime or Strawberry-Kiwi Gatorade...Pre-op, I would have TOTALLY gone lemon-lime, but it just didn't appeal. I tried it day 3, because it was all I had...still didn't appeal, and my tummy puckered up like "BLEH!!" So, I caution you to listen to your bod...I think you'll find at first that just the smell of coffee is enough to satisfy...but I just didn't feel comfortable "going there." lol That's the best as I can describe it. It's been the same with some foods; very inticing, smells great...but, but...no, not yet. It's not scientific, but it's worked for me. No vomitting yet! lol I have found that 1 half of a Starbucks Via coffee in my morning shake with some ice has satisfied the coffee craving (shoot, I live in Seattle). I've used cold coffee instead of Water in my shakes too.
