    My journey

8 weeks post op and a 40lb loss as of today! I'm feeling better and my sugars are dropping. My primary goal in having this surgery was to help me with my diabetes. It's working and I am super excited. My birthday present to myself...a gym membership!

    Clothing/size question

I feel the same way. I am still using the same clothes I was and have lost a decent amount. Other people can see it...I still can't!
  4. I so understand how you feel....I still have a crap load of jello and am ready to pass it on to my friend who is getting sleeved in a couple weeks. As far as I am concerned I will NEVER eat Jello again! I am five weeks post op today and have been taking it slow. I started with soft foods three weeks post op and have not been able to tolerate much. So needless to say I am still on canned chicken, tuna, salmon or an egg. It bites big time but I keep reminding myself...it's only TEMPORARY. Majority of it is psychological! The biggest pay off for me is that my sugar levels have dropped dramatically and I am down 30 lbs as of 7/9/2011. I wish you much luck and will be praying you get through it too!

    Depression After Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Anxiety! I was invited to a baby shower today and last minute made an excuse not to attend. I am four weeks post op and am having issues with being around food that I can't eat right now. I'm miserable. Everywhere I turn I am made aware of FOOD. In my home, on TV, going to the mall, at work. It is really driving me crazy. I never realized how much my life revolved around FOOD until after I got sleeved. And the only thing I can really hold down at this point is apple sauce, eggs and chicken salad. Ugh! I'm so FRUSTRATED.

    I really need some help!

Thanks for posting this! I am three weeks post op and felt like I was the only one dealing with this. I am just now able to tolerate eggs and soft chicken. I spoke with my nutritionist two weeks post op and she advised me to listen to my body. Go back to liquids if you need to. It worked for me and I'm still living! In my own way I understand the frustration. I'm praying that you find something that works for you!

    SURGERY COMPLETE

I completed my surgery on June 06, 2011, with Dr. Cavazos in San Antonio, Texas. My post op weight revealed a 23lb weight loss in 1 1/2 weeks. More importantly I saw my endocronologist on the 23rd and he has reduced my insulin and changed me to oral meds. I did this surgery to help control my diabetes. This life change is one of the hardest things I have ever done.
  9. Hi Danyelle ~

I'm brand new to this site & looking for folks in SA, too... :)

I'm currently completing 3 months (1 month & 23 lbs down!) of medically supervised weight loss with Dr. Ramiro "Sonny" Cavazos & am hoping for a surgery date in late August/early September... still reading everything I can get my hands on so I'm well prepared for what's to come...

    Best Wishes!

  10. I'm three weeks post op tomorrow and looking for someone in the San Antonio area.
