  1. oooh! i went for my consultation for that yesterday! i should be having it done next week. what was it like?
  2. i am in the beginning process of my pre op diet but ive done a lot of research. i dont think its anything to be worried about. if im not mistaking, you have to stay on the meds for a while before you stop getting it. id say, ask your dr how long it will last but im sure its much longer than where you are now. maybe buy a pill box with days of the week? or set an alarm in your phone reminding you to take them? place it next to your tooth brush or hair brush? im sorry :/ these are the only things i could think of. good luck, let us know what your doc says.
  3. update us on how you have been doing. i hope all is well.

  11. well, this scared me. lol. it definitely sounds worse than having my gall bladder removed. i woke up from my gall bladder surgery and didnt feel an ache or pain. i woke up super chatty and felt well rested. it was funny seeing my mom and boyfriend because they looked worried. i felt like i couldve gotten up & ran a marathon....... UNTIL i actually got up. it was mostly discomfort. but geez, he said a sword! eeeee. i dont know.. im not much of a ninja! i dont do well with swords. lol.
  12. lol thats funny!! i cant wait for mine. i dont sleep well on my back but i guess i will have to give it a try! did u get ur results back on whether you have sleep apnea or not?
  13. you know, i never thought of that. i keep counting as if im going to be sleeved the following week or so after my 6month visit. now im sad lol

  16. congrats on your surgery date!! thats 1 day shy of 3 weeks, i think you will be FINE! as much walking as tolerated. make sure to get all your Proteins & Water. you may have some discomforts so maybe invest a little on stretch pants so that you are comfy. nothing tight on the waist. maybe some nice flats (for comfort). a pillow to sit on at work (for comfort). good luck! keep us updated on everything
  17. as the two above stated, no one can tell you what decision to make. we all have our own reasons and life. we are all different and choose different routes. let me tell you this.. diet and exercise works for everybody. what doesnt work for everybody is changing to that SEVERE lifestyle change FOREVER! i think the majority of us "sleevers" will agree to that. we can diet, diet, diet & exercise & lose the weight but once we decide to enjoy ourselves a little, JUST A LITTLE, hell breaks loose & by the time we realize, we put on all the weight and probably added a load more. my "ex boyfriend" (long story on why hes in " ") of 9yrs was 500+ lbs. fat his whole entire life & kept getting bigger & bigger. one day couldnt find a winter coat & decided he wanted to lose weight. it changed his life. now, hes a fitness director (manager to personal trainers in a gym), hes a certified trainer & is a known bodybuilder! who the hell wouldve thought? what sucks is, i was smaller when i got with him 9yrs ago but like a dummy, i picked up his eating habits so i blew up. then i lost some when he started dieting & slimmed down nicely but blew up again. so while hes all muscle with a 6 pack, im all fat with 6 stomachs! now, i have horrible eating addictions. i know i can make this lifestyle change with this tool. a sleeve is a tool. not a quick fix! just like the diet meds (i forgot the name) that u were on that were taken off the shelf. the only difference is, this tool will benefit in the future & is permanent. do lots of research. youtube is your best bet to figure out what happens, what can happen & what surgery is done how. also, google the longterm requirements & all the pros and cons. that should help you make the best decision for YOU! i will keep you in my prayers. keep us updated. you have all the support in the world from us. ps, 125lbs @ 5ft may be considered overweight but its a good size. in my dreams will a scale that i stand on say 125. last time i was 125, i was in elementary school. lol. im 5'1
  18. ohh ok! thats such a job well done. you must feel like a completely new person by now.
  19. im glad all went well with your surgery sue!
  20. whoa! thats soooooo good! im so inspired. u guys r doing great. <3
  21. thats GREATT! congrats! your insurance didnt require a diet? thats the part that confuses me lol
  22. THATS AWESOME!!!!! congrats! wow. thats great. i know you must feel and look like a completely new person!!! did you have to do a pre-op diet? im on a 6 month diet for my insurance but my primary dr told me not to lose weight so im confused or my insurance wont approve me. wouldnt they deny me if i dont lose weight?
