i am officially not considered obese anymore! wooot! my bmi went from 51.6 to 29.9 according to the online calculator.

i have to take some. my newest ones posted are of me about 165lbs. only 6lb difference

i read a picture graphic the other day that said, "everyone is willing to do anything to lose weight except diet and exercise" and it is soooooo true! the sleeve is a tool but not a quick fix. some of us dont have the mental discipline to stick to a diet and continue to exercise! the hell i went thru with my leak, i realized how close i came to death and how i couldve lost my life because of my decision to be sleeved! i was only 23 when i got sleeved! do i regret my surgery? no! would i do it again? HELL NOOOOOO! theres a HUGE risk that you take when you get sleeved. 99/100 people come out just fine! but that 1 could be you! it sure as hell was me! i never in a billion yrs wouldve thought it wouldve been me but it was! all im saying is, be 100% sure that you exhausted all options! be 100% READY for the bad! and pray for the good! i had a friend who was sleeved & took 2 weeks off from work & ended up with a leak. was hospitalized for 3 months & didnt go back to work for almost 8months or so! dont be naive. this surgery will change your life. mostly for the good but some bad too! im sorry! i know im scaring you pre-oppers but you need to hear this! because i know when i was pre op, i did thousands of hrs of researching & i never came across as someone as straight fwd as me.

no no no no no no no! dont get it confused lol. i didnt go into detail of the hell that i went through! i was convinced that i was going to die whether it be cause of how sick i was or because i was going to do it myself! drs used the word fatal too many times for my liking and i had 4 emergency procedures within 1 month! yes, im glad i had surgery but not at the expense of what i went thru. if i had to do it all over again, i wouldnt!!!

people who are heavier lose more weight & faster. also when working out, youre building muscle and holding muscle while burning fat which slows down the process but in a great way! also because we dont eat enough when working out, your body clings to what you do eat.

another update! i checked my weight this morning and i am officially in the 150s at 159! i cant believe it. lol. on the bmi calculator online, i have to be 158lbs to be considered "overweight" instead of obese! CRAZY RIGHT???

hey guys! i wanted to update you on my weight. i am now down to 160lbs. i am officially 113lbs down! i am a size 6 in jeans from a size 20ish. a size small/medium in tops.

i am about to start the process of getting all the tests done & meeting with a surgeon about being sleeved but im nervous about my insurance denying me! i have 1199SEIU. i hear that i have to go on a 6 month diet before being approved but im confused. if i lose too much weight, will they deny me? my reason for wanting the surgery is because i put the weight on too quickly. it never stays off. what if i dont lose enough? will they deny me? what exactly makes or breaks this cycle? i need this surgery because of my health and the last thing i want to hear is that im not approved. i know i can diet & drop weight fast but i put it on twice as fast. thats my issue. anyone else have to do diets? did you get denied and for what?

i did mine alone with just my mom & even had complications & was hospitalized! my boyfriend of 10yrs was out living his club life & expected me to stick around. yes we r back together now but not without me getting payback for the hell he put me thru. i basically moved on after 10yrs of only being with him & he beggd & pleaded for me back. after 2months, i gave in. its been 4 months & he isnt allowed to go clubbing unless im there. by the way, ill 9months post op on the 20th & im down 109lbs! from 273 to 164

i had a NSV today! i bought this reeeally cute dressy trench coat like 6+yrs ago. when i bought it, it was really snug but it still "fit". i figured id lose more weight & itll fit good. then i gained weight & literally couldnt put an arm in the sleeve. well, i just tried it on & it FITS!!! like its even a lil big but asize smaller would be snug. im like so shocked right now. it feels good to know that im doing what i set out to do!
