it has. but i dont know if its because of the weight loss or the betrayal of close friends when i was hospitalized from my leak. now, i keep my head up high which my on and off boyfriend of 10yrs feels im "full of myself". i guess hes used to me being insecure where now im not. he hates that i get attention from guys & feels like im "gassed because of it but thats false! those r his own insecurities playing tricks on him. i think ex friends are jealous because they suffer with weight issues and "look down" on weight loss surgery patients. if anyone thinks they are better than anyone, it would be them thinking they are better than us! i think they are just haters. then its ppl like that that make the "new jaz" come out & ill say things that make me sound cocky like "she wish she looked like me" etc. but its only because of the way "she"/they act. otherwise, i wouldnt say anything like that.

nope i dont think u r overreacting! mine is a secret and i only told a select few. now if someone that i didnt tell knows about it, that would upset me! but at the sametime, now that im down over 100lbs, i am more open to talking about it but not to telling the world!!!

theres a huge difference between loose skin and flab. loose skin is when u can grip the skin & pull it and it stay very wrinkled when u let go & slowly goes back into place. flab is loose fat that hangs. i have flab on my stomach, arms & inner thighs. i have extra skin on my boobs. im less than 8months post op & im over 100lbs down. im turning 24 in a few days so age plays a huge difference. also, i read someone say that at 2yrs post op, their skin tightened up a lot. your skin is elastic & needs time to shrivel up nicely.

well i couldnt tolerate shakes so i lived my 1st 2weeks preop drinking tons of Water and starved myself which means no nutrition. i did my first 2weeks post op with just sipping water. i felt very weak and dizzy until i began eating mushies at week 3-4. at that point, i felt 95% better!!!! only thing wrong was that i threw up bile 2x. they sent me for a swallow test which showed a leak. no one really ever knows what causes a leak because its so rare. i had a leak test the day after surgery which showed no leak but i was still very swollen from surgery.

i dont mean to discourage anyone but if i had to do this again, i absolutely WOULD NOT!!!!! i was the 1 out of 100 that was diagnosed with a leak (at week 5) and i became seriously ill. i didnt eat for over a month and i threw up bile about 2-10x a day! the 2x per day were my great days although i fought nausea non stop but my 10x per day days were the ones where i was convinced i was going to die! the drs threw around the word fatal one too many times to my liking. i had 3 emergency procedures and even made a few er visits. it got to the point where i was seeing my drs atleast 2x a week & calling my surgeons partner crying every single day!!!! im down over 100lbs in less than 8months. i look great & feel great now but at the risk of going through that life changing experience, NEVER!

a swallow test is when u drink a contrast that tastes like death in a cup (no exaggeration). you stand in front of an xray machine & they watch the death liquid go down into your stomach & see if it leaks out. it tastes HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bile is acid in your stomach. usually comes out really green or orange like if you drank orange juice. no one ever knows what a leak is caused by. some ppl get a leak because when being stapled or sewn up when having ur sleeve done, theres a lil hole left unstapled. or it could be caused by other things but i dont know what mine was caused by.

hmmm.. my nurse practioner thinks i may have an eating disorder too & told me to speak to a therapist. my reason is because i had a leak & was terribly ill and because of throwing up over 10x per day, i am terrified to throw up! so whenever i get that throw up sensation, i stop eating & refuse to eat anymore instead of taking it slow & giving myself a chance. for me, im terrified of another leak or getting sick so i run from being sick. i cant help it.

im now 8 months post op. i lost about 6/8 of my hair. its very thin & depressing! but its starting to grow back! i posted a picture in my gallery! check out my before & after!

you can get the biosil from Vitamin shoppe. im not sure if GNC has it. i started losing hair around month 4 & i still am but not in huge chunks like before. i lost the majority of my hair & if you knew me before, you could tell ive lost it. i think Protein plays a big part. you dont have to worry just yet!

mine came out in huge chunks! it was shocking!!! im not sure whats helping me but its a combo of hair grease called hair gro, biosil, Biotin & protein! hair still falls out but atleast its growing back in. eventually, i will have to cut my hair short because my hair is down to my butt and ive lost so much that im sure its really uneven.

im almost 8 months post op and i noticed that lately, ive been feeling hunger. not severe hunger but i definitely do feel it. before, i knew i was hungry when i had an empty feeling but now its definitely a hunger feeling. is this happening to anyone else?

wow. i sat here & read all my messages & it was like reliving it all. its funny because as i read, i kinda sugar coated how it made me feel emotionally and what it was doing physically. i mean yes, i would say "i feel so sick" but i wouldnt have been exaggerating if i wouldve said, "i think im going to die!" thats by far the sickest i have ever been in my life. i told myself that if thats how pregnancy morning sickness feels for 9 months, i will burn my own damn tubes! seriously, it was no joke. i cant stress that enough.
