hey everyone! im #18 on this list with a leak. i personally would NOT have surgery again if i had to do it all over again. it was traumatic & devestating & stressful. everyone who i thought was a friend, wasnt! i have horror stories for days! but to make it short & sweet, i dont regret surgery. i regret the complications. if i could take the good with no bad, id do it again but everything runs a risk and the risk for me was just too great

we all know favoredone! this is a MUST READ!!! today i was having a bad day. nearly passed out while shopping and felt so weak & sick & i have a bunch of pain in my chest & back from this stent. i came home & took a nap when my mom came & knocked on my door with a box from proflowers. i was confused by who it mightve been from until reading the beautiful message inside. BEAUTIFUL 2 DOZEN MULTI COLORED ROSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you turned my day right around. you made my nose tingle as tears streamed from my face. i couldnt believe how someone could be so nice to me! im so not used to people doing things for me! it wasso sweet! i neeeded this & i love it. thank you for always being so supportive, loving & caring! it feels great to know i have asister some where out there who is looking out for me! thank you! no words can express how i really feel... seriously! god bless you! thank you! i love ya!!! sleeve sisters<3

hey guys! im still doing good!!! i definitely wanted to update u with that good news!! last week i was down 64lbs. not sure how much i am now. i ended up getting my hair cut because so much of it is falling out. usually my hair is very full & thick. now its thin. :/ but im glad to report that im looking better. getting a lot of attention! im also feeling better. i want to hurry up & hit onederland already! lol. i do 1hr walks every weekday! this week i didnt because of running around but i plan on starting back up! i pray all is well with everyone.

im 3months post op & im already losing a lot of hair. not chunks but def losing hair. my hair was very thick & its thinner now. i pray it stops soon!!

hey everyone! i wanted to update everyone on how im doing. im down a total of 61lbs. i went from an 18-20 in jeans to a 12-14 in jeans. i do have problems here & there with food. if it doesnt agree with me, ill throw it back up. other than that, im fine!!!

hey guys.. a lot of you have been following my story & know what has been going on. for those of you who havent, let me fill you in. dec 20th i had my vsg surgery. week 1 was ok. week 2&3 were hard. i was so weak, barely ate or drank & i dont tolerate Protein shakes. i felt faint & would struggle to walk a short distance! week 4&5 were great! i was eating & had energy & felt good! but threw up yellow bile 2x. jan 20th i went in for a swallow test (leak test) & my sleeve showed a leak. i was hospitalized for over a week & had a stent placed in me on jan 23rd. since having the stent placed, i was EXTREMELY sick. fought nausea 24/7 & no meds were helping. not reglan or zofran. i just couldnt stop throwing up. even would wake up in the middle of the night to throw up in my mouth and hands! my stent ended up shifting after 2weeks & i had to undergo an emergency procedure to have it adjusted abd it eased the nausea. during this whole stent experience, i couldnt eat and barely drink! seriously... it was PURE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feb 20th (today), i finally got my stent removed and i have no leak!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! im relieved that i should be feeling better without my stent & i can go back to feeling great. im down 55lbs. in no way was this experience worth losing 55lbs. i prefer to have put on 55! i regret surgery because of my complications but i cant undo it so im looking fwd & praying for a better future! god bless u all

they dont know why i had a leak and said its impossible to tell. i mean, im sure they could come up with a billion and one reasons why but to pinpoint is impossible. :/

hey guys, wanted to update!!! im doing good! drinking, eating, even went walking around a track for a hr. it killed me & im still sore 2days later but im glad i was able to do it! i pray i keep progressing

it could also be acid.

its not heartburn. its the stent pulling. i had thesame issue. it wont go away. may not be as severe after a while but its always there. i used to get trapped gas.. that was painful but it wasnt that pressure/heartburn feeling u feel.

my dr told me what it was but explained it like it was no big deal.

lol its funny u say this. i feel drs never go into detail about the hell it is! they make it seem like a walk in the park out of fear of scaring the patient but maybe the patient needs to be scared because look at what the hell it brings! and i mean its HELL!!!!!! it was like a stomach virus that wouldnt go away. im only 23 & have been through traumatic things in my life but this takes the cake so far.

wow!! well i just recovered from a leak. i had astent in for 4weeks & thank god, it healed! i went the entire month without eating and i fought nausea ALL DAY LONG!!!! no meds helped. the stent had even shifted & needed to be adjusted. then shifted again but my gi dr was on vaca & i had it removed the day he came back. it was hell but it gets better AFTER its removed. its a mountain in the road for u for sure but it does get better after!!

right? makes me sad ;/

ive never been much of a drinker. im the type that has a social drink 2 or 3x a year. when did you have your first sip of alcohol? when did your dr say it was ok? i asked my nurse practioner and she told me to wait a few weeks because my tummy just healed from a leak. i wasnt going to drink anyway but i was just curjous if i had an ok.

im not sure why ;(

i feel like adifferent person physically but i went dress shopping today for adress for my brothers wedding & it was so disappointing. i was disgusted. seems like i lost the 56lbs in my face, some in my boobs and the rest in my butt. i need to start hitting the gym.
