scale hasn't moved in a MONTH

65lbs is amazon, you are doing really good. I'll be lucky if I get to 50 lbs at 4 months. I think we all hate when the scale doesn't move, especially when were doing everything right. Maybe your carbs are high or your calories are too low. Maybe you body is just catching up to how much you lost and your losing inches. Don't let a stall discourage all your hard work be proud of how good your doing: ) Good luck, Janine

I guess there are other ways to measure weight lose besides the scale, it's fun to notice our knew bodies. I realized my neck looks like it grew 3 inches.

    PM Munchies

Thank you, I guess we all have to find our own way and what works for us and what doesn't. I just hope for me and everyone else on this board we can make the right chose most of the time.
  4. Brain, I have not taken vitamins since the Thursday before my surgery, almost 3 months ago. Chewable vitamins make me sick and the pill form of vitamins seem so big, I know its not a good excuse. I try to usually take my vitamin D and iron, well honestly now that I think of it its been 2 weeks. I think between trying to get in enough fluids and eating all the protein its hard to squeeze in one more thing (another excuse). We should a least try to take a multivitamin to start. Plus, I have to go for blood work soon and don't want my doctor to know. Amazon job on the weight loss, you should be so proud of yourself, Janine

    PM Munchies

Tiff, I have to say what you said kind of worries me about "making the best choice is a lot harder now". I'm barely three months out and I'm already struggling. I would hope that in the future it gets better not worse. By continuing to make right choices wouldn't our bodies adjust to a knew eating style? I do love the sleeve but I would hate to lose the weight just to gain it back in a few years. Sorry I guess I need someone to tell that won't happen. Janine

I am so sorry your going through this. As much as you miss your children, they're the ones that are going to pull you through this and get you on the road to recovery. You must have good doctors to leave their vacation to take care of you. I'm sure your going to be going home soon and feeling better. Keep us posted and take care. Janine

    Lots of Hunger!

This is so true, I am realizing that carbs do not make me feel full, but as long as i eat enough Protein I stay full longer and have a lot of restriction. Tiffykins- you mentioned about beef Jerky to up my protein. it has been such a help. It helps me stay full and satisfies that salty craving. Great advice, Thanks Janine

    suggested food plan?

I get what your saying, weight watchers before their point system would have samply meals that you just enchange one food item from one food group for something else. I think it make sense because I know I am obsessed with counting every calorie I put in my mouth. I would try a eating plan like that because this diet seems a lot easier stick to than weight watchers. Good luck, Janine
  10. Lolli, i'm losing about the same rate as you, 3-4 pounds a week. I didn't lose for almost three weeks. But I will not feel bad for not losing faster. I spent many years starting a new diet every Monday just to mess up by Friday. This is the first time I stuck to a healthy eating program for 10 weeks and feel I should have no trouble sticking with it. So eventually I will lose all the weight I need to lose and so will you. Don't workout so much that your going to hurt yourself and I would increase my calories. Hope you feel better and good luck, Janine
  11. Hi Vicki, I'm sorry your feeling bad and struggling but don't give up. I agree to what everyone is saying. Also I bet your still lossing inches, when I stayed the same I realized I was still lossing inches. Stay positive and give yourself time, Janine

    Alcohol

I'm also two months out and had a half a glass of wine and felt it real fast. Take it real slow and I agree try it home. Have a great weekend with your husband, you both deserve it.
  13. I had decaf as soon as I felt i could drink it, I also told my nut that the 2 tablespoons of half and half (40 calories) I would not give up.
  14. Wow, Cinderalla, I don't even know what to say. Your nut is a b word. You should write a letter to that office and tell them why you are not going back there and how they made you feel. I'm sorry that happened to you. In my opinion, that menu plan has to many carbs and not enough Protein. One banana has 27 carbs and peas have 11 carbs per half of cup, not to mention the crackers and to much mayo. I'm sure people on this board will help you with meal planning and maybe you can find another doctor that could help you. Good luck.
  15. Isn't grazing when you tend to just pick all day compared to planning your meals and snacks? Also, with the sleeve how would you get enough food in eating only 3 meals a day? Pamela you are doing really great, you should be really proud of yourself. I'm ten weeks out and lost only 30 pounds eating no more than 800 calories a day, I haven't lost a pound in 2 weeks. Good luck!
  16. My nut never gave me a limit on carbs, so these post are so helpful. Would you mind telling how many calories your eating? I'm wondering the ratio in carbs to calories intake. I eat around 850 calories and I'm staying around 40 grams of carbs but I try for 30, which seems hard and I'm a slow loser (30 pound since my surgery 11/1). Thanks Janine
  17. I was just getting a little hungry before and I really didn’t mind because it seemed like a reminder that I need to eat every two, three hours, I eat about 800 calories a day. I complained to my doctor because I didn’t like taking the ppi twice a day so he put me on Nexium. Which seemed to make my hunger so much worse I had to stop taking it. Now I feel hunger pains even when I’m eating, my stomach doesn’t stop gurgling. I am 2 months out and am wondering if I should call and ask for another ppi and any advice on what I should ask for? I really hope it is because I need to take a ppi and not because I am this hungry. Also, how do you take your ppi, everyday the same time, with food, etc.? Thank you for the help Janine

    Drinking Water

I'm the same way, I've been meaning to post the same question. I used to drink so much Water now I barely get 16 oz. I drink black tea and i hate sugar free stuff. Any ideas how to get more fluids in without it being sugarfree? Thanks Janine

    Has anyone ever...

I am 9 weeks out and I completely understand how you feel with pizza. I am a true pizza lover, I'm Italian and live in New York, never in my life did I go a week without pizza. I was told three months out I could have pizza, well I could not take it anymore and had a half of slice two weeks ago. And it taste just as good as it always did. I decided that as long as I did the rest of the week good I will continue having a half of slice of pizza weekly. But my family knew they were not allowed to bring pizza in the house unless I could eat it. Also try to wait because you don't want to hurt yourself. I didn't have any problems with other foods and ate it really slow. Try having sauce and dipping a cheese stick in it for now, I did that early on. It is worth the wait. Good luck, Janine

    I'm FREEZING cold

I am relieved its not in my head. People are wondering what's wrong with me that I'm walking around like my grandmother with three or four sweaters on complaining about how cold it is. Thank you so much for posting this, try to keep warm Janine
  22. Not to sound stupid but what does that mean exception of melon, can we eat melon before 3 months or after? I love melon and after 2 months fruit bothers me, but watermelon I can't wait to eat. I had salad last week for the first time, which I was craving. It didn't bother me but i could only eat a few fork fulls, I was to full from the protein. I never thought in a million years I would ever crave salad and melon.

Anyone up for a P90 challenge

Everyone is doing so good with their work outs, that is so great. While I'm a lazy bum, I need a challenge just to walk down my street. I've heard amazon things about the P90.
  24. janinemaire

    Afraid I'm hungry

LowCho I was wondering if Gaviscon is still working for you? Has it helped you with hunger? Has anybody else tried it? I was sleeved 11/1 and am basically doing okay (38 pounds total) but I also get hungry, some days I'm a little hungry and some days like today I'm starving. And it worries me, I just want to loss the weight and stay in control. I usually eat around 800 calories but today I'm up to 1000. I also have been eating sweets lately which I'm getting rid of all christmas candy today. Also since I'm not getting a response from my nut how many carbs should we be eating? She keeps telling me not to worry about carbs because your really not eating them anyways. Sorry for all the question I'm making myself crazy. Thank you for your help Janine okay just one more question, does drinking enough Water really make a difference because I barely drink 32 oz?
