Hello everyone!I'm 25 AA 5"5 235 lbs. Just got my approval on Monday my date is set for Sept. 12. I'm a Jersey girl happy to have found this post. Question for all post-op ppl how has loose skin been an issue I've heard AA- tend to have less just wondering how true it is. Thanks :-)

Thanks everyone think I'm going ask for 3 weeks and if I feel up to it come back sooner... I will let them know as soon as I get my doctor notes.

Hello everyone-quick question I got my officially date for surgery in September 12 how soon should I tell my job. I thought it would be here soon but now September seems many many moons away :-( lol When Did you guys alert your job?

Thanks alex0808- I have a desk job (accounting) going do 2 weeks hopefully that enough but when did u alert your job on your actual surgery date? Since I know so far out should I wait or should I tell them now?

I just called the doctor office and they said i will not know how much I will pay untill after surgery! I'm still confused don't want to owe more then I can afford to pay back. The person I spoke to was the front desk will call back ro speak to my coordinator... Thanks so much for your response! :-)

Hello everyone I have been lurking on here for months!! Lol Just want to thank everyone for all the information and experiences! I stared my journey in March and will have surgery in Sept! I am super excited not too nervous yet since I'm not getting sleeved until Sept. due to pre-planned and pre-payed vacations! I have blue cross blue shield of nj. The approval was easy- Im 25 5'5 CW-235 with high blood pressure. Request was submitted and got approval in a week and a half! Ready to start my new life journey and really thankful for this forum...

1. To be able to have kids! 2. to be able to walk pass a mirror and STOP and look at myself instead of running the other way 3. to be able to take pics and not keep deleting cause I look fat 4. to be able to get dress faster and not change 10X cause everything makes me look fat 5. to be abe to wear "work" ckothes and feel comfortable, buy coats and they actually fit over my chest 6. to not be the only fat girl anymore with my friends 7. to avoid losing weight convos with my uncle who thinks losing weight is as easy as 1-2-3 8.going to mall and not buy something cause i dont like it and NOT cause i cant fit it 9. to not look at every skinny girl outfit and wish i could fit it lmao 10. to eat to live NOT live to eat! 11. try a hair bang and not worry my face is too round and fat for one 12.not have holes in my jeans from the constant thigh rubbing
