  1. Under 300lbs! SOOO happy! 298 today. I was 320 on 5/13/11.

  2. I haven't had my surgery yet. I'm still in the beginning phase. I have my first surgeon appointment on 7/14 unless he has any cancellations before. I have been on the pre-op diet since 5/15 and have lost 21lbs since 5/13!!

  3. Hey girl! Where have you been? I hope you are doing okay. :)

  4. FINALLY the scale moved again! It was stagnant for a week!! It's only .7lbs but I'll take it! I decided I had to bring out the big guns and start hiking for exercise. It took me 1hr 20mins to do a hike that only took me 49 mins when I was 60lbs lighter. But it's a great first step and damn is it hard!

  5. I'm a pescatarian (vegetarian that eats seafood) so my only protein that is animal based has to be seafood. I just had the Trader Joe's cajun salmon for lunch and I am in love! Hands down the best salmon I have ever eaten. It's the small things that excite me!!!! :)

  6. I'm thinking a support group IN your pool sounds just about perfect for tonight!!

  7. I'm feeling extra great today! I'm in a good super good mood, have a ton of energy and i'm just happy. :) I think this pre-op diet, vitamins, water and exercise are finally starting to pay off!

  8. Oh, I just noticed, I'm 364 days older than you! My bday is 3/12/76!

  9. Good morning Sunshine! I'm thinking about you today, I hope your phone rings soon. I'm crossing my fingers. :)

  10. Today it was in the 90's so after I finally got off work and went grocery shopping we packed up dinner and went to the river! We had a lovely picnic on the picnic tables and then a nice swim. I Swam against the current for about 20 minutes, it was so exhausting! But obviously great exercise!

  11. Hey Julie, I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to hear your story! You're gorgeous too. :) Tanya

  12. Hey Julie, congratulations on everything! I can't wait to hear how everything goes for you. You're gorgeous! Tanya

  13. Excuse me, 36 miles!!!!!!

  14. LOL! I am a lead worker in the training unit at the welfare department! I take the newbies and teach them how to do eligibility! Before my promotion I told people that my job was giving away the government's money, now I train other people how to do it!! Tanya :)

  15. 32 mile bike ride?! I'm so impressed!! I live in the most beautiful place to bike ride too, lots of people bike here, we even have the tour of California come though here. I would love to do something like that someday! You are an inspiration. :) Tanya

  16. Ok, Bike ride is complete. We biked 6 miles. I know that isn't a lot to the Lance Armstrong wannabees but it was a huge thing for me. I'm 306lbs for gosh sakes! I felt miserable the whole time and it took a while to cool off once I got home but now I feel great! I can't believe I did that. My husband, God bless him and his freaking skinny body, was very supportive and wanted to stay with me when I was struggling. I was a b***h because I was so miserable and embarassed abou...

  17. Hi Gayle! I'm a former Idahoan, I hope you are doing great!

  18. Hey Sunshine, when is your orientation? xoxo

  19. Oh, today we are going on a family bike ride. I hope I don't pop the tires! I haven't ridden a bike since 2004 when I was down about 80 lbs from where I am now. I did go buy a nice big seat, that's one thing I hate about riding bikes is my sore rear!

  20. I have actually been enjoying the pre-op diet. Its do-able. I notice that when I feel like I need to eat that it's head hunger. If I concentrate on that for a minute it goes away. I've been averaging 1200 calories a day, i'm drinking my 64 oz of water, taking my vitamins. I have eliminated gum, straws, pasta/rice, peanut butter, drinking with meals and snacking. I'm really excited for this journey
