Yay Me! I reached a goal I set for myself. A NSG(oal)! I wanted to wear a size 10 pants. I set this goal when I first started my journey. Well last weekend I went shopping, and I actually bought a pair of size 8 capri's and they fit like a glove. I also bought a pair of size 9 pants from Reitman's (who have weird sizes) that fit and another pair of size 10 capri's from Laura's. All fit perfectly.

WOW! 8 pounds to goal. I can hardly believe it. I am truly blessed to have been able to go on this journey and succeed as well as I have. Thank you God!

Only I can determine how I feel and today I feel FANTASTIC! I will not allow negative outwardly forces to corrupt my day!

It has been a while since I updated my status, everything is going well. Weight is right at 173, just about 120 pounds down from beginning of journey. Feeling good, eating healthy, more energetic, and I look forward to every new day. Quite the change from 18 months ago. Hello World, Here I Am!!!!

How is everyone doing? I am excited and amazed. Since my last post, I have lost another 4 pounds. It is so hard for me to believe that I have lost so much weight. I was certain I would be the one person this surgery would not work for, just goes to show what can happen when you put your mind to it. Keep up the great work everyone.

I weighed this morning and my weight is 186lbs. I have lost 59 pounds since surgery and since the beginning of my journey 105 pounds. It is hard for me to believe I am now firmly in the 100's. Have not weight this much since I was 19 years old and I was pregnant at the time.

This morning I weighed in at 203. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be almost in Onederland again. Especially when I think of the weight I began at which was 291. Only 4 little pounds away and I will be. Yay me!!!!

Hi Ruby,
I am in the soft food stage. I eat alot of soft chicken, fish, thick soup, yogurt, cheese sticks. Pretty much what I want as long as it is soft. I don't seem to be able to tolerate untoasted bread, and I am staying away from pasta. It is what got me to needing the VSG in the first place. Any more questions, email me: sheila.pinkney@shaw.ca.

I think I hit the 3 week stall. Just have to continue what I am doing, and I will work myself out of it. Wish me luck.

I am home! Got home yesterday, a bit sore but okay. I have been walking around the house and sipping my water with protein shot. I think I will do okay.

Updating my status, it asks "Whats on your mind" Well, only one thing I can think of, 1 1/2 weeks baby!!!! I am so stoked, I can barely contain myself. I can not wait to be on the other side of surgery. Wish me luck!

After reading posts on the Recipe topic, I have bought and received the cookbook "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery". It looks amazing, and I can't wait to try some of the recipes now. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Sheila. You have a beautiful profile picture. And just so you know, my husband's name is also John. I look forward to hearing about how your surgery went.
