@@nomorechubbybutt63 once again come the old but true expression all doctors are different my doc told me to stop taking diabetes, high blood pressure pills PO i had to take another sleep study in one month then the CPAP was also removed good luck kathy -

Friends i was checking out some older posts and found the above thought it was interesting "people who regularly use a straw or Water bottle (but especially a straw) are getting smoker lips - vertical lines above the lips". i never use straws (all my life) water bottles??? if that's even kindof true, i'm in trouble thoughts?............' kathy -

@ being rejected, some reasons could be you are not SICK enough for WLS the unhealthier you are the better for approval by insurance CRAZY (but i understand their logic) you need to have different co-morbitities (ie diabetes, high blood pressure, CPAP) these are just a few examples of the good/bad things they love to see you should have a BMI of at least 40 i have heard that 35 up is ok, as long as you still have other health issues being nervous about approval is understandable don't put the cart in front of the horse wish you luck towards approval Kathy -

@@bbrookmedic welcome, welcome, welcome many people experience gas pains PO you can buy gas strips starting PO at hospital walk as much as possible to get rid of the gas chapsticks bring your own pillow too buy crystal lite - Water (no booze LOL) if you are having problems drinking try room temperature water you must drink very slowly small sips buy Jello popsicles one week pre-op buy ONE container of Protein shakes don't buy more because your taste buds might change what you liked before, maybe you won't like later ask doc/NUT pre-op what kind of vitamins/shakes they recommend some times they will give free samples - ASK buy ONE can of Protein shake don't stock up - taste buds frequently change what you tried pre-op you might not like the taste PO I wore sweat pants to hospital i knew my poor little tummy would be hurting PO the elastic helped sorry you won't have must help at home your kids are a "little" older "maybe" they'll understand (to a point) mommy is sick and they could help by being "good"/quiet so you can rest you could always send them out in the middle of the road to play KIDDING, KIDDING, KIDDING prepare meals ahead of time for the kids just heat up later easy peezy its true that many people are extremely tired PO a little sick/problems but i know WE mothers will work through our pain (like you have to deal with kids when you are sick, have a cold, you still have to care for them) many people have simple/normal issues PO no real problem (me) continue to read this board ask your question you might/probably will see similar questions to what you have thought about read replies suggestions, experiences at the end of the day ONLY LISTEN TO YOUR NUT (nutritionist) they are the ones in the know good luck kathy -

@@cek630 yes!! Deal with It congrats on your first post many to follow Protein, chewing, eating slowly, moderation etc very important plus.... MUST follow all the rules Water rules are very hard, need to follow rink 64 oz of water my NUT told me to wait 30 minutes after drinking til i can eat after i eat i must wait 45 minutes to drink never, never, ever drink with your meals/any food (people have been shot for less!!) all NUTS and docs say different things listen to our comments, suggestions, experiences et al end of day ONLY listen to your NUT or me everything you are/have learned through this process you must continue for the rest of your life or longer continually following these rules will HELP you stay on track then when you are at maintenance you can be successful when you do something repetitiously/ it will become 2nd nature hopefully you have learned to live & accept not let it bother you kathy good luck -

@@MrsKitz sorry you had/are having problems/complications) do you feel any better (or worse) can't/won't tell you this "this will quickly pass" - hopefully it will day to day things "usually" improve we all heal differently some people have problems drinking water PO try drinking water or crystal ligt room temperature one day this will be a distant memory i am crossing my fingers and toes that you will feel better sooner than later good luck feel better speedy recovery kathy -

becoming sick of the Protein shakes @@readyforthislifechange we always say listen to our NUT if you and her/him both agree of your recipe that's all that matters i found GNC Lean shake High Protein pre-mixed in bottle, ready to go, delicious 175 calories 25 gr of protein works for me swiss chocolate especially yum yum IMO no one is trying/or are mean @@ShrinkingPeach et al "we" are just giving response/comments to your shake suggestion "our" thoughts make up our opinion your thoughts make up your opinion we are both right because they are "just" opinions i wish you well kathy -

@@jreneewarnke NUT told me no chewing gum i was never a big gum person the fact i was told i can't chew gum bothered me she said it could get "stuck" don't remember exact details she said it was serious that i don't chew might swallow by accident big problems that's the issue you will learn here that all docs/nuts have different rules mine said no gum good luck kathy

@@dhrguru sorry you are having a hard/bad day Dr. Phil, yes him!! love him to pieces he doesn't know i'm alive i have heard him say, "you must acknowledge the past, before you can go into the future" some words like that you do know your triggers I also like to "get" it out there talk about problems etc nothing wrong with a good bitchh why do you think we are here to polish our nails!!?? you have found certain activities that will keep you busy gym etc that's great i have been known to take a nap to avoid eating too much stuff almost 4 years, i still refuse to go to our state fair i remember the smells, free samples ALLLL the food where ever you look my solution - i won't go to the fair your decision might be different tomorrow a new day you are doing amazing!! 69.4 lbs down!!! (those tenths of weight are very important to count!) i think sadness, depression, and anger are normal emotions for many (me) want to eat more than we should many other things too that's great day to day you are able to deal with your your issues keep up the wonderful job know you will good luck kathy
