@@rhya2k no experience with revision many people had revision because of problems with band no offense to banders!!! manyyy people are happy and successful with their band (covering my ass!) recovery times will vary no right answer one thing we have in common is that we're all different!! i have been very happy in sleeveland these past 4+ years maintaining (little fluctuation) -105 lbs - GOAL & proud of it!!! you and i will will be neighbors! come over anytime for a cup of sugar I mean Protein shakes!!! @@hsucram welcome welcome welcome and welcome always room for one more cutie!!! excited is a wonderful way to sum up your feelings about surgery as times goes on your feelings will change as often as your underwear!! nerves, 2nd thoughts, scared - just to name a few sleeve surgery April 7th!!! you have about 6 weeks to prepare for the rest of your life!!! read, ask your questions, talk to us on the boards you might be surprised how you have a question similar to someone else vise versa too! Lots of good weight loss sleeve books "The Big Book on Bariatric Surgery" by Alex Brecher - he's our fearless hero that started BP!! pre and post op books in the "for dummies" series special bariatric surgery cookbooks too amazing how many things you can learn by googling!! what did we do before the computer?!!! or cell phone (you can go to bariatric pal on your phone too) you'll get a variety of good responses on this board seeing and hearing other peoples experiences is very helpful KNOWLEDGE is POWER!!!! best of luck speedy recovery kathy

@@reallyrosy eeeek bud don't think that way KNOCK IT OFF if you (or me) gain a few lbs say to yourself you WILL loose the weight again that's the only way to go it might take a little longer, that doesn't matter you will get there remember this is a marathon - not a sprint saying oh no - weight won't go back down might as well eat more again gain more, oh well!! Stop Stop those bad feelings otherwise i must come over and slap you i know where you live!! !!!! LOL you must have confidence in yourself I have faith in you you must have it for yourself too!!! @@librarianlk YES!!! even at 4 years PO i have spent most of my adult life thinking/obsessing over food i still do think about food, constructive thoughts planning what i will eat, ie Protein and more protein concentrating on healthier foods, low cal, high protein etc eating slowly - small pieces/bites most importantly for me - following allll the Water rules I "might" relax more about constant thoughts concerning food but not toooo much - food will always be foremost in my mind for ME, if i don't obsess, struggle a bit i'm afraid i might go back to some of my old ways past, present and future i will continue to "obsess" about food - but in different ways "obsess" - its's just a word kathy -

@@CBT i really do love my face!!!! my mom was "nice enough" to hand down her double/triple chin to me and my siblings through the years i always wanted to take care of my turkey neck - get rid of it never thought i was "deserving" because of the rest of my appearance after reaching GOAL (-105 lbs) i decided i WAS/AM worth it we all are last year at the ripe ol' (young) age of 61 - i decided to go for it!! used to have lots of excess skin on my face wrinkles about 85% gone extra "chins are gone too!! dr warned me that i would have to "brave" the first 3 painful days then i would START to get better he was right, NO joke - hard to explain but my face realllly hurt 10 days my hubby changed the wrapped bandages around my face i looked like a mummy all was worth it i am "cute as a button" (really ) PS please no one yell at me - i know i promised to hang pics they will EVENTUALLY come to a theater near you!!! kathy -
