(that's the "country" @@agalindo17 is from LOL just teasing agalindo17!!! my silly sense of humor, or lack of it!!! i joined BP 4+ years ago i was also amazed at all the people posting from other countries Scotland, UK, Canada, Spain can't think of others off the top of my head but there are many more to include (I was born in Budapest, Hungary - came to America during the Hungarian Revolution 1956) i was 2 years old - only spoke baby language!!!! (never learned hungarian) don't think that counts though what surgery are you having? where and when will it be performed?? take care good luck kathy

  9. @@trishrnyoung you lost 20 lbs pre & post op?? that's wonderful there ARE certain medications that can rub the wrong way concerning weight loss some might cause weight gain this issue is something to talk to NUT or doc about an official stall, plateau is when you haven't lost any weight for at least 2-3 weeks not 2-3 days many times newbies et al have unrealistic expectations it took months and years to gain weight it's not gonna melt off overnight mom called the day after i came home from hospital she told me to stand up then she said "did your underwear fall down?" i told her it doesn't work that way!!! she said something like "Oh, I thought it did"!!! i'm sure you are following all the basic rules Water, Protein, portions, carbs, veggies etc please DON'T be discouraged!! "GOD Grant Me Patience Just Hurry Up About It" good luck kathy

    @@ckunes hi there i HATE the word ONLY ie i ONLY lost 3 lbs I ONLY do Water exercise!! take that word out of your vocabulary!!! sorry you temporarily tripped, slid off that darn horse but i know you'll get back on program 60 lb weight loss - did that put you at GOAL? do you remember ALL the rules you need to follow water, Protein, carbs, portions etc??? get a jump start and do primarily liquids for a few days doesn't do any good kicking yourself in the asssss!!!!! it hurts too!!! Diabetes I, terrible arthritis, 2 artificial knees oh no! gotta get back on the straight and arrow follow drinking and eating rules NOW!! you did it before, you can do it again!!! good luck kathy

    hey tex ride 'em cowboy 62, 63, 64 etc never too late to improve your health and well being one month after surgery i turned 58 years OLD now i am 62 years YOUNG GOAL, happy as a clam!! hope you are are approved without any problems surgery sooner than later i stayed overnight at the hospital (staff wanted to get rid of me!!!) LOL i'll meet you at the doors to sleeveland introduce you to other ol' farts LOL good luck bud kathy

    @@axlr8n what a way to "enjoy" your vacation!!! sorry for your aches and pain never was in your particular situation but pain is pain no one enjoys it we deal with it the best we can good luck with surgery this week you will have intensive physical therapy etc lots of hard work in front of you total faith in you my friend you've lost an amazing 138 lbs!!!! you can do anything you set your mind to!! one day at a time take care sending good wishes your way huggggggs kathy

    @@downsizingdebs "the one thing we have in common, is that we're all different" i do have kidney issues my doc says i shouldn't have more than 75 gr of protein a day follow the leader, or in our cases - your NUT follow your docs rule of thumb for protein (and everything else) keep up the good job i know you will 78 lbs down wonderful!!! kathy congrats

    @@FeelingFancy NO!!!! gastric bypass people and kangaroos have pouches!!!! sleevers do not!! basic #1 rules for all bariatric people,,,, drink lotssss and lotssss and lottttts( 64+ oz a day) drink til you eyeballs flood 1+ day PO you are correctly taking your time drinking slowly 40+ oz drinking in one day!!! (inc shakes and broth) close to the new norm you MUST reach don't even think of gulping yet (smirk) NUT will tell you when its ok for you to drink faster you are doing great you are aces!!! keep up the good job how about we meet good company/conversation and Q & A's couple of drinks i'm buying!!! Water of course!! good luck continued speedy recovery kathy

    @@Mrs.Robinson2004 you are all set with approval that is great explain the necessity to insurance and doc's office of getting a date that way you can start working your schedule for family, school etc around WLS ask if you must pay for classes up front you must be an advocate for yourself get YOUR buns in gear!! hopefully their buns will follow insurance hoops and jumps can drive people crazy!! (no offense to OP who work with insurance!) don't wait by the phone for insurance to call YOU keep calling them!!! that being said..............     @@bellabeans I am 4+ years post sleeve i lost 105 lbs(GOAL)by the end of my first year but through my whole process+ i continue to GAIN knowledge and more kathy
  22. @@iwillbeachitagain yes!!! if you hold on to your bigger clothes, you'll have a "safety net" if you start to fall (gain weight) there is always something you could wear! NOT the way to think about things I DO suggest YOU keep one big article of clothing about one year after goal i went to Kohl's, the place i always shop a magnet had been placed in my body years ago it drew my body to all PLUS SIZE clothing my hand took me to "those" elastic stretched 2X blue jeans i took the pair to the changing room put in on over my size 6 jeans i stared at myself, tearing STRONGLY this is a good/bad memory i won't forget after a few minutes i bought the jeans they sit in the back of my closet you have lost 50 lbs!!!?? keep up the good work you are aces congrats kathy
