@@Miss.Bunny447 woa, lets wait on that happy dance for now as OP have said - call your docs office don't want to be a doubting dora i am playing devils advocate i think the office needs to tell you OFFICIALLY that you have been approved understandable that you were so excited when office called, you didn't think to ask call tomorrow and get the scoop/answer my fingers, toes, and nose are all crossed!! good luck bud kathy -

@@Lovin2lose NO!!! i would not want to take a cruise in early of stage of WLS i would wait 6 months to one year before taking a cruise i would enjoy myself at a better weight/new lifestyle i would feel better/confident about myself at a later time PO able to STRUT my stuff! that is just ME now i will contradict myself and say you would probably love the cruise now, and have a great time how's that for a definite/maybe once again - for ME, i would wait til next year YOU must make your own decision btw - i am 4.5 years PO hubby and i are taking a 10 day cruise to ALASKA beginning of August 3 days land, 7 day cruise (nights included LOL ) tom will Celebrate being married to ME for 25 years!!! tom is very smart after all, he did marry me!! LOL i'm not "too" scared about the food etc on the cruise i will indulge a little, but i will be careful with food or i might just throw caution to the wind and say the helllll with it LOL consider myself at GOAL these past 3.5 years i am 6 lbs over goal, hoping to get rid of a few lbs before trip don''t know about sea sickness meds (good question) cruise?? yes or no whatever decision you make will be the right choice for you!! continued luck on you "voyage" through sleeveland!!! kathy -
@@Swamprat hey Tex welcome welcome welcome to Bariatric Pal i've been waiting for you clean/put on your glasses look straight ahead sleeveland is right around the corner!! age (and weight) are just numbers i've seen younguns in their late teens, 20's etc on the board and more "mature" people in their 50's, 60's + "we're" as young as we feel, right!!! one month post op i turned 58 years OLD 4.5 years later i am 62 years YOUNG absorb a lot of good info from these boards plenty of books to read that will help you through WLS process ex. - "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" good luck enjoy the ride kathy

@@CamJ83 hi newbie glad your health issues have been addressed required to see additional docs during hoops of insurance is a drag!! but you/we do what you must do!!! not understanding why you can't get excited again for WLS is it because you are afraid something else might go wrong another postponement?? 2 weeks til planned date why not give office a call in about one week and verify that everything is moving along/full steam ahead!!! you have plenty to be excited about you are about to start a new chapter and life in sleeveland good luck speedy recovery kathy

initially my doc told me that i will forever be taking med to treat possible gerd then i read things differently over the board i then spoke with my NUT, and she was surprised i was still taking a med NUT said i should quit taking them since i hadn't seen my doc in over 4 years, i listened to NUT kathy -

@@IAwoman i laughed years ago when i saw this subject shoe size is less? then after seeing OP responses, i understood about feet/shoes many people's feet are swollen due to the Water, swelling of feet as you lose weight, the swelling will go down this helps you need new shoes my feet weren't that swollen, wide i never had my shoe size go down in your case - who knows? good luck speedy recovery kathy -

@@HeavenlyGirl101 i gained 12 lbs pre-op i had whats commonly called a "food funeral"!! also "inhaled" a bunch of yummies, sweets, etc i knew i would be eating these sweets lllllater down the road ttttteny little amounts if doc didn't say "you better not gain" you should be ok buttttt- i would work hard to take those extra lbs off ASAP whatever you have gained now, is all the more you have to take off!! you will need to follow many rules PO (on fear of death!!) LOL i'm sure you will be able to succeed try hard in preparing for surgery "do or do not, there is no try!!" Yoda prepare yourself for a wonderful new life with WLS you will be on a roller coaster, but you'll stay on top! hope you get a date sooner than later good luck speedy recovery kathy -

@@Dashofpixiedust8 i got my first tattoo put on right wrist first 3 letters of grand-kids small italics, little red heart under each letter M organ A ndrew E than they are the reason for being a proudgrammy i am also a proud breast cancer survivor little italics on right ankle saying survivor a beautiful colored little butterfly under survivor this is for my 86 year old mom - she lives for butterflies many more NSV's to follow pre and post op weight loss is great!!! 90 lbs down!!! wonderful milestone with many more to follow kathy congrats -

Quest 20 gr of protein!! my favorite flavor is double chocolate chunk they are so yummy, their should be a law against them!! lol MY problem......... Protein Bars are a trigger food for me very difficult for me to stop at one bar tastes like candy buyer beware!! LOL kathy
