    guilty pleasure - talking to a stranger is great, easy, non-committal after all - i luv talking to you guys!!! my DH says i could talk to a telephone pole!!! (unknown/stranger pole of course LOL) more frequent than not, i'm shy to talk in a crowd of OP i know get shy/embarrassed - don't know what to say least now, if i don't talk to anyone at a party i look great!!!! (cute as a button remember? ) wow - secret is out, please don't tell anyone else!!! LOL working on my issue knowing my problem - that's half the solution!! kathy
  3. i was 46 years old was at work when i heard the news small tv in area - many watched in shock i worked for the state -Albany closed all work throughout the state such a sad/horrible day to remember kathy

    @@PRINCESS2218 doc sent me home with script for prilosec does the trick keeping gerd away for ME is your gerd/heartburn frequent? a PPI will hopefully help/calm down the situation the sleeve is "technically" one of the newer WLS yearsssss back it was used to help stomach cancer doctors were realizing that people would lose weight PO eventually it was then made/used as a procedure for weight loss i never heard that heartburn/gerd could be a cause of cancer doc is the man in the know!!! hope your doc is good about returning phone calls, and can put your mind at ease good luck kathy

    @@LisaMergs LOL - how could i forget good ol' Mrs Oleson? did you know the first season of the show she was VERY thin, "normal" (i don't admit i know that to just anyone!!! LOL) consider yourself special!!! do you remember Caroline and Charles frequently eating lots of popcorn in bed? they should have known not to eat sliders, watch their carbs too kathy

  9. @@Sajijoma man oh man that was YOU??? you were definitely in good voice!! the attendant prob did think you had lost your mind!!! you should have told her you didn't lose your mind but you DID loose 190 lbs!!!! LOL don't go overboard with new expensive clothes you are still losing weight and will need smaller sizes head up high sizes and weight will go down keep up the good work kathy

YES (for me) sugar/sweets are my downfall sometimes i choose to abstain in fear of "attacking" a sweet!!! people's trigger foods are/can be different my bud @@Christinamo7 can eat the bars with no prob i envy her i love/crave my Quest Double chocolate Chunk Bar i give the box to hubby to "hide" LOL when i want one - he will get if for me!! Just one!!! - Otherwise i could easily eat 2-3 a day!!! EEEEEEEK congrats on losing 52 lbs - you are doing great protein bars or not LOL good luck kathy

    @@jeepqueen i allllllways wished i had done a blog, journal it is wonderful to record your ups and downs problems (vomiting etc) good emotions and bad things you are learning and allllll the NSV's you are joyfully experiencing at my one year surgiversary i thought i would give it a journal a try things new still happen started, never kept it up i'm almost 5 years PO you are 8 weeks PO - it's definitely not too late to start also i wish i had taken my measurements on a more regular basis best of luck bud kathy
  12. @@Dollface_D hi back at ya and welcome!! never understand why "they" call it the losers bench it should be called the winners bench!! get ready for the ride of a life time follow all the many rules determination, patience are key you'll be a success the sleeve is the best (any WLS is great) i am biased because i have had and love the sleeve for almost 5 years good luck kathy

    @@Bettyboo60 welcome, welcome, welcome ahhhhh Betty, nice to meet you i've been waiting to open the door for you i was 57 when i was sleeved (almost 5 years ago) age doesn't matter determination is what counts following all the important rules you'll learn a lot from the boards other peoples experience, thoughts, words of wisdom butttttt.... at the end of the day, only listen to your doc or NUT PO 10 days - you are recovering nicely?? didn't say otherwise you are starting a healthier, happier, longer life how wonderful is that!!! i'm sure you will be another success story good luck kathy

  19. @@joei0005 my doc didn't give me a pre-op diet didn't need to lose weight just dont' gain he said!!! some people are told to lose 5lbs or 10 lbs or maybe 5-10% of their weight docs choice what to do good luck kathy

  24. @@lvfavy knock it off LOLOLOL it's hard and you shouldn't compare different surgeries with what VSG will be like appendix, gallbladder, tonsils, child birth - people have hard/good times with all expect the worse, hope for the best??? glad you are working/jumping through the insurance hoops i give you "permission" to have your different emotions they are allowed!!! as said before, most of us get "those" feelings hope your WLS is sooner than later good luck kathy
