    Increased Restriction

justmest hi there you should NEVER force yourself to eat more than you can - as you said, its not the smartest thing to do, your tummy will not be happy and you will feel sick i am not sure about your restriction increasing? - some people complain about the opposite effect/restriction decreasing. not sure whats going on with you? if you are having trouble getting required food in, you should talk to your NUT, tell her what is going on supplimenting your intake by drinking Protein shakes is good idea. you need to get your protein in, nourishment talk to your NUT/surgeon once you are done listening to others here that can help you better. good luck
  2. mom is home, doing well, visit planned for 11/26-11/30 - anxious to see her!!

    Water

Gabby congrats you are a one week sleeve survivor - you did it you are early in the game, many people's tummy still hurt, need to adjust to drinking. drink slowly, those one oz measuring cups/your NUT could give you are great - just drink as much as you can from the start. slowly, very slowly you must push the fluids, sorry its difficult for you right now - you can become dehydrated if you don't drink enough just continue to sip as klds we we were told many things we had to do even though we didn't like it, things might have been explained, but in the end you just had to DO IT. well kiddo......you gotta do it now, drink for various health reasons - no ifs and butts - this is something you must do for the rest of your longer healthier life as your tummy allows , take bigger sips, that might help you get your Water in. as you heal, it will get easier sip slowly now - progress to a water btl - and just take bigger sips as you can - eventually when you feel able, and when your NUT says ok - you can take gulps which might help you get your water in- this is what i do get the water down, and get the "job done".get the water down anyway you can, even if you have to stand on your head good luck drink for/to your health, one day at a time - i know you can do it

    Medical Nsv

happiness is having WLS, the sleeve for medical reason i am prone to fall. i haven't fallen in a few months. when i fall, i have to turn, roll on my knees ( both have been replaced) and with difficulty get up. i fell the other day, i got up a lot better than i usually do. I was so happy. I said to my DH, hmmm, do you think this has anything to do with my weight loss (lifting up 90 lbs less of me?) DH and i were walking today, i was walking pretty well, better than my usual tortoise pace - i said hey, do you think i'm walking better from my weight loss? i went to the mall today for the first time in a long time, i bought a smart phone. in the past, i wouldn't have gone into a big mall, amongst many people - my confidence is way up there now i am a happier person thanx to the sleeve - i am hanging around too, working hand and arm in the sleeve :D
  6. O.T.R. - aint that the truth hey dude, look at you - great new picture WooHoo i actually only recognized that great smile, then i saw you behind it looking good ok, back to me being serious, yeah right :) my mom hasn't seen me since i've had WLS, she lives in another state. as i've lost weight, and tell her - she did say to me once, when will the weight stop dropping? i told her not to worry. BTW i've been in a 2 + month stall, so it has stopped dropping, but it will continue to move in its own sweet time

Jlm Kitts congratulations 127 lbs down with pre-op - how terrific is that you are doing wonderful keep up the terrific work
  9. Olivia having WLS is a big decision - people don't turn to WLS until all other avenues have been exhausted. i looked at my weight over the past decades, yo yo dieting - weighing too much - health issues - personal issues - i came to my informed decision that WLS is my last resort if i had been too nervous to proceed w/the sleeve - i would never have reached this healthier, happier stage of my life its "probably" safe to say you are going through the above, and would like to turn your life around, using the sleeve as a helper towards the next, healthier happier time of your life you are understandably scared/nervous you will deal with many changes in your life towards eating...it will be a long process for the rest of your life, your excess weight didn't happen over night, don't expect the weight to fall off a week after surgery.. but the weight will leave your body at its own pace, making you very happy you have thoroughly researched the sleeve - you checked everything out, you know what you are facing (to a point) Of course its your decision - i hope you proceed w/the sleeve - my opinion, my 2 cents worth now...open the door to the wonderful world of the sleeve.walk in...and don't ever look back good luck speedy recovery

    Slow Loser?

Sophie you don't eat those dinners on a regular basis do you? i didn't think those foods were acceptable as a basic meal you measure portion out from box, your 1/3 or 2/3 cup, whatever your NUT says - one WW meal isn't one of our portions to eat? maybe i'm incorrect???
