My Mom's Journey So Far
ProudGrammy replied to Staisea's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Staisea What a good daughter you are helping mom out during her time of need glad things are improving for mom - and she is on the mend. hope she listens to the words of wisdom you have concerning liquids, all that important stuff!!! it will feel good to be home in her own bed, familiar surroundings, does she have family/friends around her that can help her, or check on her? i know you'll be there via the phone even though i am sure you wouldn't mind continueing to help her, it will be nice that you can resume your own recuperation, sounds like you are doing great. i'm sure your mom will follow in your footsteps best of luck to you both -

kyllfalcon WLS works if you do love that -
brookeco glad to hear you are back in the pink. one month PO, before exercising, people usually talk to their dr to get the "official" go ahead to exercise. your 7 mile bike "jaunt" work and back - what a wonderful form of exercise that is!! do you dislike your dr.? or the personnel in the office, or both? maybe talk to your PCP for advice concerning the bike rides et al. he could be able to advice you, on other things too pertaining to the WLS if WLS surgeon or PCP can not help you- probably would be ok to start out with those bike trips, but i would start off slowly, no marathons overnight, build up gradually to the point you want to be - whether biking or other excercize good luck

tatylish, Since you will have been sleeved 2 weeks prior to your brothers wedding, IMO you will be especially conscientious of NOT eating those nasty foods - you won't want to mess up having WLS one day after b'day - great motivator to enter your 26th year of a better healthier, happier life good luck with WLS speedy recovery -
