    Tattoo Ides?

hmmmmm, lizv123 like the idea about a "scale" butterthebean, maybe put a saying like "I did it", above the scale depends how much you want to explain to others what the above mean? good luck on your decision i'm loving my tatoo w/initials of my 3 grandkids, doing this was my "big reward" after losing weight. promised DH i wouldn't do another tattoo for another 58 years!!!!

Cresteds Mom words cannot express how sorry i am about your BC - this is an extremely hard time for you - and all feelings you must be going through are difficult to deal with i can only imagine how disappointed you are that you must have WLS postponed - but its not cancelled. you have to take care of your primary health issue of cancer first The sleeve will be waiting for you after your BC recovery take care good luck

    Sooo Nervous

meredith tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life i was nervous, scared, excited, many feelings prior to WLS, most fellow sleevers have those feelings - your concerns, thoughts are normal i never thought i might have complications. i think i was just naive. - no problems for me - WooHoo as far as pain, i'm a woos (probably mispelled!) too. hate the thought of pain hopefully your pain will be minimal, maybe even non-existing - i didn't have any pain at all good luck tomorrow you are off to a great new healthier, happier new you be happy speedy recovery

    Burping. 2 Days Post Op

NEWBIES ATTENTION, ATTENTION!!!! burping is very normal for sleevers, especially at the beginning for me at 10 months i still periodically burp - thats ok though pretend you are in Turkey , maybe other foreign countries too you are considered rude if you do not burp after a meal!!! for me, the sleeve "made" me burp, telling me not to take another bite good luck nothing like a good burp/hiccup
  10. hey guy many people watch utube videos - i am not one of those that being said.............i started watching your 17 minutes video saying yeah right i'm not gonna watch this whole thing - i did though - wish i had some popcorn to enjoy!!! what an emazing journey you are continueing to go through - when you are a little heavier weight to start, it must be very hard/discouraging maybe - but you stuck through thick and thin and have succeeded it was wrong of your surgeon to say that you probably stop your weight loss at 280-290 lbs, i can understand that couldn't of made you feel too happy on the other hand, theres nothing like a person saying you can't do something, and out of spite - you do it!! kindof confused about the gall bladder/hernia surgery - i thought these were common surgeries that apply to many sleevers? good luck w/those operations too wish you the very best you are completing the rest of your first journey - now starts the new journey for the rest of your life continued success, health and happiness

    Oct 31St!

Lori D glad you are having WLS, so many health issues will start to turn around Wish people would realize this is not an elective surgery, we are doing this to help save our life. This is not the easy way out, majority of non sleever think it is the easy way out - we know better good luck with WLS and your long wonderful life long journey with the sleeve and improved health!!!! BOO - WLS on halloween - great day for it, kind of scary, but we all know what a great experience, new life is waiting for you good luck speedy recovery
  12. wow, prices are unbelievable!!! to all others on the board without insurance - i feel so bad for you having to pay for WLS - must be so difficult. as far as you having to pay for an assistant surgeon?? i would have thought that all surgeons would have "an assistant" to help them? can't get over that additional dr is not covered you go for it girl, fight as hard as you can put on your boxing gloves, and get on with the fight as far as claiming bankruptsy, all those medical expenses that people can't pay for in so many different medical situations??? - at absurd prices, who wouldn't go bankrupt sometimes? lose/lose situation - dr/hospital gets no money i am grateful/lucky to have had insurance paying for my whole WLS experience continued good luck with your weight loss, your doing great btw mufasas haven't seen you around the board lately, good to see you again
  13. sacharliem 41 lbs down, how terrific is that!!!! i know they say wunderland, i'm not sure of the right expression for being in the two hundreds. twoderland!!!?? whatever they call it - time will pass soon and you will arrive into the 200's continue to enjoy your journey of a lifetime WooHoo!!!!
  14. bee0927 grateful, most important............... that my health has amazingly improved - nothing else compares enjoy each and everyone of your NSV's - be happy
  15. hey slim so sorry you went through this experience what did your dr say after he saw the picture, and you spoke w/him?? you haven't been constipated before? freak occurrance, hopefully it will stay that way, and never happen again  of course talk to your dr. - but maybe he would suggest colace doesn't make you go to the bathroom, softens the stool alleviating such problems glad this is over for you take care
  16. Quianna welcome to the sleeve board the one thing all of us have in common - we all started this journey being overweight - or "pleasingly plump" 2 weeks PO - you'll get alot of advise/help from other sleevers - lots of good info to absorb then you jump in again with your questions take care speedy recovery see you around the Water cooler

    No -One Responds!

aliasmith NEWBIE sorry you haven't gotten replies to some of your posts next time you have a question, raise your hand up high, stand on one leg, rub your tummy, chew gum, and smile - someone will notice you  that should get attention from sleevers world wide i have heard some people on the board say they had in and out surgery and were fine. - don't be shy, if you are covered by insurance, stay the night everyone does feel differently post WLS - some people do go back to work very quickly, few days. others home one week, and others...... you get the picture hopefully you will feel better within the week to go back to work. just take it easy, slowly - if you need to take more time off from work............... talk to your boss - remind her you had MAJOR surgery, you couldn't predict how much time you needed to recup, hopefully he/she will understand. don't be pessimistic - you might be fine soon one day at a time, right take care best of luck with WLS speedy recovery
